I travel to Baker City twice a year for the past twenty years to present historical programs at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, and I always stay at the Oregon Trail Motel. It's an older establishment without a lot of frills. But it is inexpensive...the rooms are clean...and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Instead of serving a continental...

We stayed two days there for distric basketbell championship, then returned for three days of State Championship, rooms were not cleaned each day, beds were not made up each day, stated they only did it every three days unless you ask for change, showers were not cleaned, soap was left on tub rails, all that was done was clean towels, plus they raised the...

He had his do not disturb sign up all day, this informs us no service required. Every Hotel in Baker City has a special price for the State Tournaments which is more than regular, we were actually the lowest rates in town during this event & he was quoted on 2/25/17 of the price for the 3 days with no...

This is not a beautiful place but rooms are OK. Pets are allowed and the river walk is right next door, makes for beautiful walking! You get a coupon for a free breakfast at the Oregon Trail Restaurant next door! Good food by the way. A friendly staff and a nice outdoor pool (heated) are advantages. Very quiet too, the...

This is NOT your mid-level motel with all the extras and not really modern in anyway, needing upgrade....BUT...its only $48,CLEAN,GOOD LOCATION,and the included breakfast is a voucher for the restaurant next door..full of locals and EXCELLENT breakfast....you can pick 1 of 3 included choices or take $1.00 off any choice on menu...picking one of the 3 is the way to go...and...

We came in late And could not find a room with two beds. We were going to travel another two hours because one review said this motel was the pits. It is clean and comfortable and inexpensive. McKayla at the front desk was super helpful. Just don't believe the 'heated pool" sign. Brrrr.

This was one of the trip advisor reviews that had me scratching my head: 4 stars? This place is a dive! I booked based on the TA reviews and arrived at 7pm, so I was stuck. The first two rooms smelled so bad I refused them and was prepared to sleep in my car. I finally was shown the handicap...

I am sorry about the first 2-rooms, But we were full that night and the only single 1-bed rooms available were smoking rooms and they do smell like smoke, BUT we did put you up in a two bed unit, non smoking instead.

The Oregon Trail Motel is like stepping back in time in a good way. I couldn't find a way to make a reservation online, so called. The employee at the front desk was very nice and friendly. There is a guest book to sign, as well as filling out a form by hand to check in. The motel uses actual...

Rooms are adequate for price. There seems to be long term rentals living here. Reception desk was very pleasant during check-in and placed us next door to a long term family with 3 young children and 1 dog.(they were not there when we entered the room and showered). What we got was kids running around our cars screaming with doors...

There were long term tenants in that room with Singl Mom and 3-kids and a dog. AND were homeless SO I put them up for Free until they found a place. They have since moved to Idaho and doing better.

Nothing special about this motel but it was clean and convenient. We'd had a blow out and needed a tire depot but as it was a Sunday and everywhere was closed and this motel happens to be right opposite the Les Schwab depot - so we just bunkered down. Also has a restaurant right opposite where you get an included...

We were happy here, it was a little old but very comfortable for the night. Price was right for the night and included free breakfast at cafe in parking lot. Room was small but we were only there for night on way through. Very helpful staff and friendly restraurant. Clean was the key!
