When we arrived all excited from the website, we were all very disappointed with the smell of dogs in the house. Owning dogs is one thing but to have 2 giant dogs that smelled like they have not had a bath in months living in your bed and breakfast is another. The smeel was so bad we decided not to...

I owe this couple a huge apology. August 10th was a very stressful day for me and my family. Our son Jacob and his wife Nancy had taken over for me since the prior Sunday while I sat at my husband’s side in ICU at OHSU. Although they did a stellar job as inexperienced innkeepers, I fear they may have...

I was visiting a client how recommended I stay at the Inn. When I got there i was struck not only by the beauty but by the welcoming atmosphere. It did not feel like a business trip and I so loved that!. Susan and Bruce are great!. At breakfast you will sample some of Bruce's gourmet cooking which is outstanding!...

We made reservations here 6 months in advance, based on their beautiful website which boasted charm and suggested this was a true "inn." It was more like a poor quality dorm. When we arrived there at about 6 PM on July 28th, we were very disappointed in the reception and in the accommodations. The proprietor was somewhat rude, with his...

In our four years of running our Inn, we have determined that our country inn is not a perfect fit for everyone. We have seldom required a two night stay to allow many travelers to experience the energy here at Brookside Inn. For IPNC (International Pinot Noir Celebration) we require a 3 night stay. There are no cancelations without full...

We needed a place to stay in the Carlton-Dundee area in a pinch. I easily located the Brookside Inn on the internet and very easily made a reservation. It was quiet, peaceful and very comfortable. We both enjoyed quietly reading on the grounds as there are multiple places to just be alone. We needed that and it's sometimes hard to...

Bruce and Susan are the perfect host and hostess. They made us feel special every moment we were there. They are a warm, engaging, soulful couple who appear to love opening their home guests. The house is beautiful and comfortable - the perfect place to unwind and the grounds are spectacular. We had the corner room on the first floor,...

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June. Great location between the wine vallies and a spectacular property complete with a fire pit and nice walking trails. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. They even have a s'mores kit ready to go near the fire. Nothing better with a bottle of wine!!

Bruce and Susan are great hosts of this beautiful bed and breakfast in the Willamette Valley. With 9 rooms in two different buildings with gorgeous landscaping and spacious accommodations, we knew right away that we had picked a great place to stay for 4 nights. My husband and I were traveling with another couple who also enjoyed the environment. We...

Just a lovely getaway that takes you back to a simplier time where your tensions can just melt away. Some of the most beautiful country to hike and walk in, whether by walking around a gorgoues lake or by a stream. The rooms were so cozy and well appointed. Susan and Bruce were two of the nicest people we have...

Beautiful grounds. The owners were friendly but missed some of the things we've received at other B&B's- no snacks when sitting on the porch in the evening, no offer of help to start a fire in the pit, no tour of the grounds. The rooms were smaller than the online pics appeared. We're fine with no TV or phone, but...
