The Columbia River Gorge has trains on both sides of the river! But...If you love the mountains rolling into the Columbia River, the Bridge of the Gods, Douglas Firs so huge and beautiful not to mention a campground the way they were meant to be! This campground encourages families to sit outside around a fire and enjoy moments together. This...

Nicely appointed camp site with plenty of trees and clean facilities. That said, there is no ready access (easy walk) to the nearby river, and the railway line is adjacent to the campsite. The sound of trains is not so bad, but every 40 minutes a train would pass, and every one of them blew its whistle five times. For...

Our experience at this KOA was not particularly great, though part of this is due to enjoying a much different type of camping than what is offered here. I will begin with the positives: Staff were amazingly friendly and always smiling, bathrooms seemed clean, and it is located close to town as well as to Portland. I think this would...

We were very happy with this koa. The location was centrally located and pretty clean. We stayed in a cabin with a bathroom which was convenient. As for the trains it wasn't as bad as some people said

We stayed one night in this KOA. It ended up being $58! We didn't even use sewer, just water and power. We should have just got a room at the best western in town for that price. The guy showing us to the campsite was smoking, which wasn't nice when I was carrying my one year old. The bathrooms were...

Love it! Everyone is friendly, clean, and helpful. We love the pool and the laundry room, and the showers are clean. The train is kind of bothersome but the trick is to fall asleep in between whistles. Anyone who doesn't realize it's next to the UP tracks is in for a treat.

I found the staff to be very friendly, the restrooms clean and the showers were great. I stayed in a cabin alone as a women with her dog and felt very safe in this campground. The cabin was clean. The cabins have ceiling fans which was a good thing as I stayed there during a heat wave (in the 80's)...

A great first experience! The hookups were easy to do. Although there were quite a few children on bikes and in the pool, it was not bothersome. The staff were great, Our campsite was clean and in a shady area. I had dreaded trying this campground as our first because of the reviews on the trains. No problem at all....

Good place to stay a few days while exploring all the local hiking and waterfall trails. The camp ground is a bit older and some sites are a bit narrow. The train in the night was the biggest issue for us. The tracks are right behind the campground. It was a good decent campground.

Shady sites, helpful and friendly staff, in the beautiful Columbia Gorge - my son and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Cascade Locks KOA! We knew about the trains, and quickly adapted to/embraced their passing. We biked west into town from our campsite, and enjoyed Marine Park, ice cream cones, the spectacular view from Char-Burger, and Historic Hwy 30....
