We stayed here for 2 nights in the Ivy Room. It is an old tack room redone to accomodate guests. It was private and away from the main house. It is on the small side for both the bedroom and bathroom but it suited us very nicely. It's very well kept and clean and the bed was comfortable as I had no back/hip issues in the mornings or nighttime reading. The breakfast was awesome, the other guests company were quite delightful and our hostess was excellent! The food was very, very good. It does start at 0830 which suited us as we could sleep in and get ready for the day. The property is well maintained and it is one of the three old homes in Coos Bay recognized by the Historical society. Please do not be fooled by its actual location. It is away from the main center of town and at the other end. I wouldn't walk around at night but very safe in the AM if you want to get an early morning run or walk in before breakfast. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast if you need a place to unwind and relax.

Just took our chance and picked this charming spot and it could not have been nicer. Had no idea about Coos Bay but it was the perfect location after a long drive down the coast of Washington/Oregon. Pulled in around sunset to the Old Tower House. There we were warmly greeted by the owner/hostess, Stephanie. She could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It was like finding an old friend. She took us to the "Cottage". Nothing could have been nicer. Warning - do not be over 6 ft. tall to enjoy the cottage. Small but so warm. We had the greatest night's sleep in the old feather bed. We just did not want to leave. Stephanie had a great breakfast ready and waiting for us the next morning. Gave us a historical picture of Coos Bay and a warm good-bye. We would love to stay longer the next time. I hope we can come back some day...

We had booked 4 properties along the California/Oregon coast on a booking portal and obviously had never visited any of them prior to this holiday. The Old Tower House is the oldest standing structure in Coos Bay, a mid size town on the Pacific Coast. Hosted by a lovely couple, the hostess is in charge, we stayed in the stand alone cottage which was extremely cosy. Breakfast was lovely and so different from standard U.S fare. All in all a lovely night’s stay.

My friends and I stayed in the separate little cottage on this historic property. It was perfect for us, because the futon folded into a separate bed. Not terribly comfortable, but better than sharing. There were a few steps up and down but not too bad. The breakfast on the verandah was delicious.
