Nicest people ever. Kind, friendly, accommodating. Rooms clean and charming. Cozy and welcoming. Really sweet place to stay while exploring the national monument areas or just taking a road trip. The Cafe down the street has delicious food and the coffee shop next door is...More
We showed up without a reservation in tiny Dayville (town in the John Day National Monument area) and were generously accommodated by the owners of the Fish House Inn. We had a smaller RV and they were full but allowed us to park on a...More
Immaculate spot, great folks running the place, garden like locale. Quiet and clean, very easy to recommend this as an above average spot to spend some time. Showers/bathrooms squeaky clean, extensive manicured lawn..... Very pleasant place to be!
Beautiful grounds, nice big spot for our fifth wheel and a great host. Fruit trees and lush green green grass make this a real gem! Thanks Mike for your great hospitality-we loved our stay at your beautiful park!
I hate to share this wonderful RV campground because it only has 6 large sites. It was like camping in a large park with green grass, trees, tables and full hookups. I had to share but hope they have space when we return, which will...More

the number for the fish house inn is 541-987-2124, the owners name is mike and he is very nice, lives on site and knows the area well. the john day fossil visitors center is not far from the park and is worth the trip. down the road about 25-30 mile is clyde holiday state park, it was very nice also, right on the river...close to the hwy, but traffic is so light it doesn't really matter, and while you are at the fish house inn go over the the dayville cafe to eat, it's cheap and the food is great, mike can tell you where it is.

Well, that's a good question. We stayed there last Sept. It states that the phone number can be called for summer/fall reservations. I think it would be best to call the phone number and see if there is a message describing the exact months it is open. The owner is real nice and property very quaint and cared-for.
