After a friend and I toured The Painted Hills, we wondered whether we'd be able to find a place to stay. We called House Inn's owner, and a short time after, we were shown a choice of comfortable rooms.

Kudos to Lyndee and David......... They run a very charming and well kept place...... We stayed in the Salmon Suite........ Old fashion and nicely decorated....... Love the lantern flashlight attached to the room key....... The grounds were immaculate with chickens and ducks wandering the grounds...........More
Lyndee & David were very accommodating. I did a last minute road trip, wasn't sure where I was staying until I got there. However, I did call them ahead of time. They were nice and flexible with my improvised planning.

This park only has 5 RV spaces but also 4 chickens, 5 ducks and a cat. For Halloween the owners decorated with pumpkins on the picnic tables. The showers were great. The grounds were lovely. A great place to stay while exploring the John Day...More

Well, that's a good question. We stayed there last Sept. It states that the phone number can be called for summer/fall reservations. I think it would be best to call the phone number and see if there is a message describing the exact months it is open. The owner is real nice and property very quaint and cared-for.
