What a great place to stay, boutique it is. With big rooms and bathrooms it didn't feel small like some B&B's, and also wasn't noisy like some large hotels. With comfortable beds and safety upgrades we slept like we never left home. Great breakfast served and the individual tables were close enough to have conversation if we wanted.

The location right next to campus is great. The staff was friendly and personable. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The classic style of the building gave it a nice mystique while at the same time the amenities weren't outdated. If you are looking for a different type of stay next time you are in the area I...

We really enjoy Secret Garden. It is a lovely, well-appointed B&B with wonderful breakfasts. The staff are accommodating. I'm not troubled, as is another traveler, by paying upon check-in. This is a common practice in the Pacific Northwest, and I prefer it. The rooms are all very different and beautiful. Price-wise, you can get a less expensive room in Eugene....

I stayed in Eugene on other than University business, as it was close to my business contact's place, and found the Secret garden great. Very clean, lovely staff and comfortable interesting rooms (I stayed in the library). Great breakfasts. Within walking distance of a range of eateries and a handy general store. If there for University business it would be...

We stayed at this property for two nights for the Oregon - Stanford game. Property was in great location near campus, the building is charming and cozy, but that's about where the positives stop. I travel on a regular basis, all over the world, and I have never been to a hotel or B&B where they charge the full amount...

Stayed recently for two nights. Room was very hot, they couldn't get the air conditioning working. Fans were brought in. Very loud. Had to unplug the in-room refridgerator because it made so much noise it kept us awake at night. The room was nicely appointed, however, the bathroom needs upgrading, and the bedspread did not look like it had been...

Great location near the University (go ducks). With 13 rooms, more a small inn or a large b&b. The floral motif could drive you crazy after awhile, but really pleasant for a short stay. Mostly ample parking. Comfortable, bright rooms. Service of young staff cheerful and energetic. Breakfasts make an attempt at gourmet but not successfully -- stick to the...

We had an extended stay and were treated like royalty! The B&B is a lovely and beautifully decorated mansion and gardens, with spacious, sunny common area alcoves, rooms and decks in which to work or hang out. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Best of all - the staff is helpful and considerate. I have a dietary need which they...

I stayed from 3-3-14 to 9-3-14. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Nothing to dislike, but moreover, lots to like. Pleasant staff, walking distance to some great eateries, a small general store and close to the university. The bed was extremely comfortable, plenty of choice for breakfast and plenty of communal or private areas to relax indoors as the weather was...

Secret Garden is an intimate, European-style Boutique Hotel one block from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. In the late 1990s when Becky Kaiser became steward of this stately home once owned by the Baker family of the distinguished newspaper, the Eugene Register Guard. She brought with her the aura of her grandfather, Henry Kaiser, known as the father of modern American ship building. As the small inn’s proprietor, Becky Kaiser developed its themed charm from the book The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.Since May 2008 when Don Flinn assumed ownership, Secret Garden’s charming staff continues the tradition of providing a sophisticated level of comfort and courtesy. The common rooms consist of a large lobby with intimate seating areas with fireplaces, two large dining rooms & gorgeous gardens ideal for weddings, meetings and social gatherings. Delicious on site catering provided and the attention to detail to create your perfect event. The staff enjoys sharing knowledge of the recreational pleasures of the Willamette Valley including the annual Oregon Bach Festival, Oregon Mozart Players, Prefontaine Classic, UofO Football & Basketball games, NCAA Track & Field, wine tastings at nearby King Estates and always golf, especially at Bandon Dunes on the Oregon coast.
