My wife and I were planning on getting out of town to head to the beach so I booked a nice room here. Mid-drive we got a call from our adult daughter who said she was en route to our house to visit for the weekend. We encouraged her to come to stay at the beach with us and to bring her boyfriend. We called and booked another room and were excited to see them. Just prior to arriving, we got a call from Karen at the front desk. She warmly inquired if we were still arriving as it was getting late. She asked if It would be ok If she upgraded us at no additional charge to a multiroom suite. She explained that the suite had 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and 2 queen beds, a full kitchen, laundry room, dining area, and family room. She mentioned that she remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary and that with our daughter coming it would be nice to celebrate together. Of course, we said yes. When we checked in we were greeted by Karen & Kimberly who wished us a happy anniversary and gave us 2 bottles of wine to celebrate. We made some great memories here this weekend. We enjoyed the complimentary use of the bikes to ride to the beach and really enjoyed the area. We will be back!

Salishan has been many things in its long and storied history. Back in the 60s it was THE five star luxury retreat on the Oregon coast. Since then it’s been through its ups and downs, but the Salishan of today is a remarkable and rejuvenated experience. Purchased several years ago by parent company Soul Community Planet, the focus of the resort is now on relaxation, wellness and rejuvenation. It boasts the best spa and golf course in the area, great facilities and a championship golf course. A plethora of activities in the nearby areas are available but the real draw is the serene and mindful surroundings that allow one to really let the world fade away. They’ve adapted to the Covid-19 pandemic well with the option to dine in any of a myriad of books and crannies throughout the property and the menu of fresh and local ingredients is healthy and delicious. Definitely different than the gloppy chowder and platters of fried seafood to be found in nearly every other restaurant in the area. On top of all that, they also have an on-site marketplace with a coffee shop, a few tasteful boutiques and galleries and an exceptional craft brewery. My wife and I truly enjoyed our getaway, the staff was friendly the room was cozy and clean and the property was a delight to experience.

My husband and I stayed on New Year’s Eve at Salishan and absolutely loved it. The staff was extremely accomodating, kind and a pleasure to interact with. Our room was well appointed, clean and very cozy with a gas fireplace, Avery comfortable bed and views of the golf course. For breakfast we dined at Provisions Market and had a fresh, delicious breakfast of bagels and lox and avocado toast. I highly recommend this property for anyone who is looking for a restful spot to recharge and rejuvenate on the Oregon Coast.

It was our first time visiting the Salishan lodge. We came during a storm and the electricity went out. They were very helpful and brought us blankets and relit the pilot in our gas fire place as the wind had blown it out. The gas fireplace kept us warm until the electricity came back on. We enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We are looking forward to coming back during warmer months to enjoy biking and more hiking. We had a few drinks at the lodge and also a nice dinner. It’s a pet friendly place and we all had a very pleasant experience. We’ve already told our family about this place and are making plans to return,
