First off, if you go in knowing a few things you will like this hotel. Is it old, yes. Is it noisy having the train tracks nearby, yes. Are some of the rooms small, from some other reviews I can say yes to that as...More
This was a very cool, historic hotel in the heart of hood river. It had a lovely and charming lobby and restaurant. You must have the danish pancakes - they are quite good. They give you fresh baked cookies at check in, the staff is...More
Very historic place that was cozy and clean rooms. We had a view of downtown and the river. Bed was comfortable and we loved being downtown as we had late night Chinese food that you can walk to. Breakfast downstairs was Swedish and delicious.
We enjoyed our second stay at this charming hotel this past August. We stayed in the river view suite the first time, and the city view suite the second. Both were fantastic; however, I did enjoy the view of the river and the layout of...More
I was unable to adequately regulate the water temperature in the shower. Electrical outlets in the room also need updating. Nothing fancy but it is a nice old hotel. The front desk staff were pleasant, as was the lobby. Convenient downtown location.

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
