The Coho Oceanfront Lodge has completed a multi-million-dollar expansion that includes a spacious front lobby, enhanced fire pit area, new oceanfront suites, and a remodeled breakfast room. With this completed renovation, the entire building is now accessible by elevator. The new lobby face-lift and expansion features an eclectic, casual mid-century modern beach vibe that has now doubled in size. Freshly brewed coffee by Portland Roasting Company is always available, as well as filtered ice water in the inviting space. The hotel will also soon be bringing back its weekly guest social featuring local wines, craft beers, and hors d’oeuvres. The new communal fire pit area is majestically positioned directly on the ocean side, providing unobstructed, amazing panoramic views of the Pacific Coastline and Cascade Head. The space features multiple seating areas, an LED-lit stairwell and a glass facade. An ADA accessible fire pit is located at the top of the cliff. The newly renovated breakfast area, designed with the whole family in mind, now includes a large communal table. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage, waffles, and fresh-to-order smoothies with natural seasonal ingredients will soon be available. In addition, four new oceanfront suites have been added to the boutique hotel. The rooms feature over-sized soaking tubs with sunset views, a gas fireplace, luxurious bathroom, sitting area, and embroidered bathrobes for guests to use. The Coho Oceanfront Lodge also offers select pet-friendly units.

Due to the coronavirus situation, I decided to cancel an international trip to South Africa. Since I already had the time off, I wanted to salvage my holiday and took off for the coast.
While Salishan wanted $99/nigh (exclusive of taxes and resort fees), we came across Coho and decided to book.
We were very pleased with our stay. The place has undergone a renovation. The touches are modern and clean, yet maintain an Oregon coast sensibility.
Check in was a breeze. Polly was sweet and genuine. After inquiring about an ocean-facing room, she upgraded us to a sunset suite. I thought it very generous of her to take such action.
Our room contained a fireplace, soaker tub, kitchenette, TV and password-protected WiFi. Don’t forget to collect the coffee grounds for the French press in the room.
The place also has a gym and sauna, but I didn’t have a chance to partake. There’s also a fire pit in the center of the hotel.
We had an amazing view overlooking the ocean.
Breakfast is served each morning. Again, due to corona, we could only do takeaway breakfast. The offerings are basic, but solid: eggs, sausages, fruits, breads and a waffle maker.
Coho is in the heart of Lincoln City. Groceries and liquor stores are nearby. There’s an outlet mall for any shopping needs. Kyllo’s is a great seafood place but they were closed (corona).
Stay at Coho - whether you’re visiting or it’s a staycation.
Special thank you to Polly.

It would have been nice if the reservations for the pool could be made at the time the room reservation was made. Also would’ve been nice if the pool was made open for 24hr since it is staffed 24hrs and the amount of reservations is so limited. That being said at least the pool was available and everyone is doing what the can in this disaster of a year so you have to be happy that it was even an option. The only negative experience about our stay was the cleanliness of the room; which during these times is a high concern for us/everyone. As soon as we walked in; that was the first thing I looked for. I instantly noticed there was a big greasy forehead print right in the middle of the ocean view window and there was a weird frosting like crusty something on the couch, and one of the goblets was dirty. It really wasn’t a big deal but It did make me question the sanitation of the room so I took the bleach wipes out of my car and cleaned any handles/surfaces we’d be touching just as a extra precaution. Once again that really was the only thing; we love the coho and always enjoy our stay.

We enjoyed a 5-day stay over Christmas at the Coho Oceanfront Lodge. The pet-friendly family suite on the ground floor opened onto the grass and the open pit fireplaces above the beach. This has been the most wonderful visit to Lincoln City, Oregon. The maintenance and front desk crew are terrific. Hector, in Maintenance, quickly responded to all our needs, including programming of the TV remotes, replacing the gas fireplace controller when the battery died, and providing an additional refrigerator when we stocked too much food in the room fridge. Destyny W. at the Front Desk was very helpful, going above and beyond in helping with information, warm cookies, and a new toaster when ours overheated and set off the smoke alarm. There were other staff members who helped us as well, and they were always friendly and never impolite or too busy for us “senior citizens” who made frequent visits to the office. The Coho is beautifully maintained and offers everything we needed. We will definitely return next year.

Been coming to the Coho for years for our anniversary and have always had a good experience. But something has changed. Housekeeping was poor: did not vacuum, replace used coffee cups or glasses, didn't clean the coffee pot, bed was poorly made (basically just thrown back together). Could not get a wi-fi connection. The front desk acknowledged that there was a problem with the service but did not offer a remedy. Will be looking for a new place next year.

The Coho may have been lovely at some point in the past, but it is getting on toward serious shabbiness nowadays. Our "kitchenette" suite was showing its age, and the actual "kitchen" consisted of a small microwave, a dorm fridge and a two-burner glass cooktop with broken control dials. The cookware provided was a meager selection of cheap pots and utensils that needed to be cleaned before using them. The bathroom was the size of a small closet, the lights over the sink were dim to the point of being useless, and you had to fight to open the door to the balcony. About the only thing the room had going for it was a lovely view of the ocean. The beds were fairly comfortable. The "fitness center" at the Coho ( a small, very hot room off of the small pool area) only opened at 9am, so if you wanted a workout before breakfast (which ended at 10), you had to ask the front desk to be let in, and depending on the staff, they were less than happy to do so. The hot breakfast provided was scrambled eggs, sausage patties and toaster waffles. There may have been other choices, but there was no menu, and you had to stand in line and request your food from an overworked server, who gave you your meal on a paper plate with plastic cutlery: for the room price, we expected something a bit more. Overall, a disappointing stay. Cannot recommend.

Edselwilson, thank you for responding to my email from our internal survey. As I mentioned in our email exchange I am very grateful for your feedback. I am very happy to say that our breakfast has resumed to a buffet style setting where our guests can make real waffles! We are also looking into the possibility of doing a cookware upgrade (to include a colander) for our kitchenettes. Again, thank you for your constructive feedback!!

Our stay was very pleasant considering the restrictions that were in place for COVID-19 both City and County-wide. We were pleased the the breakfast service and the overall staff we interacted with. The room was clean, the view was great and everything was as advertised in on the website and pictures. We were very pleased with the rate and the central location made the trip to either side of town quick and effortless.

Got an opportunity to get out of the city and head to the coast. The Coho is my favorite place to stay in Lincoln city the staff is super friendly, the rooms are nice and cozy, and the breakfast is always great 👍 (thanks Sue!! You’re the best) with Covid going on I’ve noticed they have hand sanitizers by all the elevators and take appointments to reserve the pool/sauna/hot tub facilities. I highly recommend the coho for a convenient, safe, peace of mind stay.
P.S. we met a new friend Steve (the seagull) who kept us company while we enjoyed our fire place :)

The Coho is located right in the heart of Lincoln City, about 90 minutes from Portland. The property is immediate oceanfront, with views of a wide expanse of the Oregon Coast.
Minutes away are Whale Point, Otter Rock, and Boiler Bay. Incredible scenic views. Visit Depoe Bay, drive to Newport... the coast is great, whatever you feel like doing. If you stay at the Lodge, you're steps away from flat, sandy beach, and a long hike down the shore from climbable rocks (but watch the tides!)
At the Coho, comfortable rooms and all amenities, very courteous service, good value on this off-season, Sunday night visit. Spend more in the summer; it's worth it. You have to experience the fire pits, outdoors just yards from the breakers. A perfect ending to a day at the coast!

The hotel is wonderful. I loved the location right on the beach. My room was large and comfortable, I appreciated the fireplace and being able to wake up to the sounds of the surf. The breakfast at the hotel is very good with waffles, sausage and eggs as well as a good selection of juices and toast options. The staff at the front desk and the hospitality staff are all fantastic. I will return for sure and The Coho is my new favorite Lincoln City hotel!

This is a very unique and special hotel. The location (right above the beach), view (ocean, beach, skyline), and the special "beach fire pit" they have created to enjoy the view without the wind is really special. But having all that, and making our pet welcome was just amazing. This is the perfect place for those traveling with dogs! The ground floor room has hard flooring and outside access so you can easily get your fur friend out whenever very easily. They seem to have thought of everything. We received a little "doggie" bag with waste bags, a toy, and treats. Very thoughtful. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. I loved setting on our little patio and looking at the beach. The hot breakfast was much better than expected. Hot eggs, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, sausage, waffles, a variety of breads and pastry, and fresh fruit and juice. Best "deluxe continental breakfast" we've had. All of this and an outstanding group of people staff the hotel. Chris checked us in and was great about answering any questions and helping with any need. Everyone from housekeeping, desk staff, food service, and every employee we encountered was so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.

Yes! Our pool and hot tub are both open!
Our hotel has 69 beautiful units. Some that are large family suites, some that are studio units, some that are adult-only section with jetted tubs, and most rooms are oceanfront/ocean view. Thank you for asking TOMMYRICO!
It’s a good two hours from PDX to Coho. The drive is pleasant and picturesque, though.
