Motel 6 isn't known for luxury, and this hotel proved it. But it was the only hotel in town for under $150/night -on a Wednesday! Standard fare wood floors, tiny bathrooms, limited counter space, but they did have a small refrigerator. We've learned to be content with limitations when we choose to save money for a night.
The joys of Hotwire bookings. Just me traveling so I figured I didn't need fancy. Checked in. The desk person smiled at me funny when she gave me my keycard. Place has outside doors. Pulled into a spot in front of my room. Noticed the car next to me had flat tires. On the room to the left of me there was a cat in the window and an American flag. By the door to the room to the right of me there was three large clear bags of cans and bottles. When I got out of my car, two guys from the room on the right came out and watched me unload and move in. I sat down in the room. There was a weird smell. I kept hearing people all around talking. I did not feel safe I had this feeling that if I stayed I would not make it through the night. After 30 minutes I left. I was going to go into the office, but I noticed the neighbor guys in the lobby. I got in my car and drove an hour and half to the next town DO NOT STAY HERE.…
We spent one night here recently. We were in room 210 and was told it is a non-smoking room. The odor of cigarettes was apparent from the moment we walked in the door. We tried to leave the door open and open the window for about an hour, which helped. However, the cigarette smell seemed to permeate the bedding, the upholstered chair, the window covering and, best of all, seemed to be coming out of the AC unit. We were tired and decided that despite the smell and the noise to suck it up and stay, for which I was rewarded with a night of hacking cough from cigarette residue in the room. The light fixture in the bathroom over the tub is stained with nicotine. On the plus, there was plenty of hot water and the pressure was good. Cannot recommend, would not stay here again.
We came over from the valley with our daughter and grandson. Needed 2 rooms together and they put us at opposite ends of the building and would not put them in the room next to us even though it was empty. Wouldn't even try to give us rooms closer. We left and went to a different motel that did accommodate our needs.
My gentleman friend and I went to Madras for a racing event. The room cost was very fair, the room was very spacious as was the bathroom area. Most importantly, the bed was super comfortable! Not a normal Motel 6 “hard as a board” bed. The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.
