This was during COVID-19. The office is locked but there is a bell to ring upon check-in and a window to service you. The young lady was nice and masked. Check-in was quick with wireless keycards for my room access. Room was small but cozy. Bed was comfortable. Not firm but not soft. Just right. The toilet and shower were small/tight. If you're a larger person I would suggest contacting the motel about other room sizes. I had a queen single bed. Basic amenities like a fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Quarters were cramped due to furniture. But a bit more spacious for the table and chairs area. New floors. Toilet had the pipe in the corner for the sink on the other side exposed. Overall, just fine for my needs. Clean, convenient and the price was prefect. Even for a holiday weekend. A nice room. I would rent again if COVID-19 weren't a problem with staying at my mom's.

Note: I posted this review to Yelp as well, which has a suspicious lack of recent reviews. Avoid this place like parents avoid talking to their children about safe sex. TL/DR: Spend the extra $15 and stay at the lovely Econolodge instead. My experience: -Given $60 room that is covered in cigarette ash, ashy fingerprints, garbage, with pillows on floor and trash (cigarette butt and former occupant's knife) everywhere. -Requested clean room. -Given mostly clean room with cigarette burns on duvet, long black hairs on sheets, and stains on (otherwise clean-seeming) towels. -Crumbs, other small junk on floor -Unspeakable smears left by someone picking their nose on the toilet (please do see a doctor) -Plastic bag politely left by former tenant wrapped around smoke detector to facilitate smoking -9/10ths used toilet paper left on back of toilet; toilet paper roll holder missing The following day upon checkout, we asked to leave our car in the (entirely empty) parking lot so we could ride our bikes for a few hours. She told us, "Yes, if you are going to stay longer. No problem! No if you're not going to stay longer." I would have added a star for friendliness, and maybe I'm being petty, but this seemed to be an easy way to add to customer service.

We stayed at the Madras Budget Inn on 11-05-19 on our trip back to Idaho. The manager was a pleasant fellow, gave us a significant discount and allowed us to preview the room, #24. It was cramped, but clean (with a tad of lingering cleaning solution oder) and the bed, though just a full, was comfortable. (We found out later that every time one of us rolled over, the springs were pretty squeaky.) The bathroom was amazingly small with a corner sink (and no mirror, so much for my wet shave!), and the smallest cubical for the toilet I had yet to see. Anyone over 250 pounds need not apply. When we turned on the sink water to get some hot for hand washing, the aerator was somewhat plugged and sent a stream sideways. After about 5 minutes the water became lukewarm and by that time there was a small puddle on the floor from a drain trap leak. When I decided to shower later that night, I found that it also took a VERY long time to get hot water. On top of that, the shower valve had the strangest temperature selection I’ve run across. One handle controlled the flow, while an interior knob controlled the temperature. Full on “hot” produced a tad beyond lukewarm for the entire duration of my shower. I would not recommend this motel unless everything else in town was full. Sleeping in your car might be more pleasant.

When I checked in the person at the front desk tried to charge me more than my booking. Changed rooms on me because the management was refurbishing almost all the rooms. The bed was harder than the floor.
