We always stay at Spindrift. It used to have all or mainly kitchenettes in rooms all in a row, like the "cottages" of old. Kitchenettes are still available and so are "pet rooms" for a few extra bucks. No amenities but iIntermittent wifi, TV, coffee maker and fridge, but walk 5 minutes to everything great about this little village without...

Efficient check in upon arrival with great recommendations for eating in Manzanita and nearby. Not fancy but clean with good bedding and mattress. Excellent free wifi and TV reception. We would stay again for one nite. If we were staying longer would want a bit more space to sit and a more comfortable couch and additional easy chair. Beach a...

Absolutely nothing fancy about this place. It's an old fashioned motel built and decorated to stand up to kids, a pet, and the sand and water that will be tracked in. Rooms are small, everything was clean, no smells at all in our pet friendly room, and the location is just a block from the beach. (No views.) It is...

This is a great location for in town Manzanita. Close to the Sanddune pub which is good and bad, can be loud at night from music, but just bring earplugs or go listen! We did both. It's a short block to beach, close to a great pizza place and coffee place right next to it. I'm giving it 3 stars...

We recently stayed here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was such as cute room and very comfortable. The beds were amazing and it was nice tho have a kitchenette for making food. Loved having salt water taffy available in our room and at the front desk. Bob was very helpful with getting videos for the kids and with suggestions...

My daughter and I spent a lovely relaxing weekend at the Spindrift Inn. Bob was wonderful with recommendations and advice everything from where to eat and where to find sand dollars! We spent a few hours in Cannon Beach but much preferred the quiet streets of Manzanita.

Found this gem on Trip Advisor and it was every bit as good as all the reviews say. One block to the beach, walking distance to good eats and shops. The room we had was a 2 bed room, and decorated so cute. We enjoyed some time in the little courtyard garden. Bob, the owner, was full of great information....

Super clean. Very comfortable. Free high-speed Wi-Fi. The most friendly inn keeper that I have ever met! One very short block to the beach. There is a smallish central garden courtyard area with lovely flowers. The only draw back is the parking lot view from the front entry. Drive 2 miles south to Nehalem for a delicious breakfast or lunch...

For what seems like a former motor inn, the structure is a curious throw back, decorated in the French Provencal colors of yellow and lavender, with modern accents, like the curved glass shelves in the bathrooms. Rooms and bathrooms are very large. The "courtyard" is more like a gardened central pathway, with ridiculously comfortable wood benches on which to sip...

I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our beds, as we upgraded to pillow top mattresses not long ago -- I happen to sleep on one , too, as we tested them first in the owner's apartment. Realistically, this is a 2.5 star motel, but we had a five star experience. Spindrift could have been a small studio apartment complex at one time. Presently it is a 1960-ish motel in a cute little town on a quiet part of the Oregon coast. We stayed for three days. Management was very helpful. Our room was dated but clean...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lovely, quaint, great rooms, inexpensive, a great location, and the people are friendly ... that’s how our guests describe Spindrift Inn. This cozy 14 room cottage-style rural inn is just a block from a 7 mile beach in Manzanita, on Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. Mountains meet the sea, surrounded by two State Parks, forests and the Pacific Ocean. In our inn you will find no smoking, pillowtop beds, some suites, some kitchenettes, and some pet-friendly rooms (call ahead to be sure). Off the highway, Manzanita’s small commercial district is nestled among cabins and cottages - perfect to park and walkabout. There are shops with trendy clothing, natural food, and several restaurants serving fish en papillote to authentic Mexican. And the connection with Nature is superb ... you can re-fresh, rejuvenate and be re-inspired when you return home. Or stay forever (we did). Come visit us ... then you may say: "Spindrift Inn might not have a lot of street appeal, but thankfully the rooms, cleanliness, staff, location and price were all wonderful. We’ll definitely be back again." Owned and operated by local families since 1946. ... more   less
