Great spot. Arrived on motorcycles . Kinda a cross between a B&B and motel. We got there, owner had placed our names on respective rooms with keys in the door. Large common room/kitchen for meals, along with gas BBQ outside. Great outside patio with table/chairs. A few feet to the water feature where deer were accessing water. Rooms simple but clean and comfortable. Never did meet the owner, but permit guest Anthony was great to talk to (he put in the water feature). Lots of provided breakfast items in fridge and breakfast area. Pub and dinner spot in walking distance.

Wow, for this little town the owners have gone above and beyond! We enjoyed our cute, cozy room! It had everything we needed! We were pleasantly surprised with how good breakfast was in the morning as well. We have gotten so used to no breakfast or prepackaged breakfast from covid but this was not that! The morning temperature was great to enjoy our meal in the little garden. The owner was kind and friendly and let us take ice and an extra garbage bag with us for our travels. Would highly recommend!

Seriously, one of the best places our family has stayed in a long time! Nice, spacious room for our family of 5, with outdoor decks to grill, have a drink, or read a book. I watched deer walking around the property both mornings we were there. Nice indoor area to hang out in, as well as a kitchen and laundry. Well-kept, and best of all, super affordable. Awesome!

This is not a huge place but the owners have huge hearts. It is my regret that we didn't get to complete our stay.We got to our room took a quick nap anticipating being out late. the previous night there had been a lightning strike that had started a wild fire . While we were out the fire grew from 2000 acres to over 8000. When we arrived there were fire apparatus in the parking lot and hose being laid out. I contacted Mike the owner and told him ,because of the fier we were not going to stay.. I told him we would pay for the lodging and He absolutely refused payment of any charges. We fully intiend to go back and complete our stay in the near future.

Hi! That was quite a night, wasn't it? Lots of fires this season. We'll look forward to having you two back when it's not so exciting around here. Thanks! Mike

My family acquired the largest suite in the lodge at a very reasonable price during the off season. We used the full kitchen to make our meals, which was great--we even baked baguettes! The place sits on the side of a hill, allowing for a scenic overlook upon the river, bridge, and the other half of Maupin. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was especially nice to have the common area on the first floor where we could all relax, have a snack, and chat. The owners were friendly, and our stay was very comfortable.

Mike runs a great lodge home. The Oasis is for a quick stop and the Imperial is overpriced. If you get lucky enough to find a vacancy here from May-Sept, jump on it. Even better during the off season when no one's around!

After a day of rafting on the Deschutes we stayed the night at this lodge. We were one of the first to stay at River Run Lodge since it's reopening last weekend. The entire lodge has been renovated and the rooms are lovely. We stayed in the Oak Springs room and it is very spacious and includes a full kitchen. As the lodge was recently rebuilt, everything was new and super clean.
The owner was pleasant and informative as far as places to eat if we chose to eat out rather than cook our own. The room includes a fix it yourself breakfast with cereal, breads, yogurt, juices and eggs. The main kitchen downstairs is awesome with new appliances, a triple sink and lots of counter space. There is enough room for everyone who stays there to sit down to eat breakfast.
The common area has a big screen TV, lots of games, puzzles and children's books. There is computer and Wi-Fi available if you need to be connected. The back patio/yard is very nice and there is a BBQ available for use. As a bonus, we saw a doe and her newborn fawn just off the balcony of our room.
I would love to return to stay more than one night - maybe next summer as we hope to do another rafting trip.

Had a great experience here! Stayed two nights in the Wapinitia room, which was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The room, located on the second floor, is equipped with an air conditioner, mini fridge, flat screen tv (with DirecTV), and a Queen and Twin bed. On the ground floor is a large common area that has a full kitchen (with self-serve breakfast in the morning - yogurt, toast, cereal, coffee, tea), washer/dryer, a computer with internet access, two couches and large-screen tv. The courtyard includes a grassy area with a BBQ and tables and chairs for those who want to cook their own meals and/or sit outside. The owner was very helpful and attentive. I accidentally locked myself out of my room in the morning and had to call him to unlock my door. He was already on the premises and came to my rescue within one minute. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the River Run Lodge and that the owners take a lot of pride in maintaining the property. I had a pleasant and memorable trip to Maupin and would recommend the River Run Lodge to anyone seeking clean, comfortable and affordable lodging.

Some cons: Parking lot is small and the stairs leading up to the second floor are a little steep which could potentially pose a problem for someone with mobility limitiations.

This was a very nice, quiet lodge. We stayed in the Wapinitia room. It was quite cool mid October but we opened up the window to hear the Dechuettes River. That was relaxing. The room is well equipped with coffee, tea, and cocoa, microwave, refrig. We were greated with 5 deer up on the hill one morning leaving to sight see some places. The owner is very nice and helped us make it a full day. The breakfast was not a hot breakfast with eggs and things. It was a continental breakfast that you could use the kitchen and eat within a timeframe. Toast, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal. You could use the kitchen anytime but had to keep it clean.
