Evidently also known as The Whaler Motel ... Not a typical motel at all! Very clean and comfortable room with a small balcony overlooking the Pacific. Helpful and friendly desk staff. An excellent place to stay in one of my favorite Oregon Coast towns. No hesitation in recommending! One somewhat odd issue though ... all rooms are non-smoking and warning...

I love staying at the Whaler and renting their beach home's. They are clean, comfortable, Great Queen beds, Inside Hot tub and Swimming Pool. A cheerful staff and their Manager Karen Strom sees to it that your time there is a very enjoyable one. I have been staying there for years and I am looking forward to be back there...

We have stayed at the Whaler in the past, and it is always good. The rooms are large and have ocean view balconies. The employees are very friendly. It is clean and has a friendly young staff. The price is very reasonable. The laundry room is very clean.

Came here for a quick family get away. Friendly staff, free popcorn, and beach views. Also the kids enjoyed pool. The ocean beaches are right across the street. We stay here when we come to Newport. Clean and comfy. It is showing its age a bit. Has a fridge, ironing board, a small deck you can sit and enjoy the...

This is a nice clean and well maintained place to stay. The queen size room is small but not cramped. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting and looking at the ocean and people watching. Easy walk to restaurants and to the beach access..
