This is a small lodge on the bayfront with a beautiful view and interesting noises from the sea lions and harbor. The staff was great and the rooms were large and comfortable. Walking the historic area for eating and shopping was great. We enjoyed this unique lodge!

I just returned from a lovely stay at Anchor Pier Lodge and highly recommend it. The staff was terrific and check in was easy. I love staying at unique properties and APL certainly fit the bill. It was nice and clean and ready for us even though we arrived early. Things I loved: the deck overlooking the bay, the large...

Anchor Pier Lodge is a handful of suites atop a marine research group's gift shop and tour boat company. There are 4 (I think) bay-facing rooms. 1 city facing room. I've stayed here twice and it's one of my favorite places on the planet. You are on Yaquina Bay facing a working seaport. Docks below. Fisheries to the right. You...

Sea Lion serenade, fishing boats on the move, dock charm extraordinaire. The evening was complete with a stroll along the bayside, gas fireplace, moon over the harbour from the window seat and comforters for bedding. Did I mention the sea lions? Gotta love em to stay on the ocean side. The check-in service was very helpful. Nice to spend time...

If you want a unique experience in Newport, this is it! A private room with fun decor and a lighted tub for two, Surfer Dude is the room for you. It's actually the only one we've stayed in, although we've toured the other rooms. Looking out at the harbor lights you'll have a great nightly view. Depending on the time...

We stayed here for one night in the Captain's Quarters, and had a great time overall. The location is good, and the people who work there are incredibly friendly and helpful. You will see and hear sea lions, and this place is located directly upon the bay, and they make it all the more entertaining! There are some small details...

Our first time here was a few years back. We were surprised we found such a unique and charming hotel right on the historic bay-front. So we knew that we wanted to spend our wedding night here. We ended up booking 4 of their rooms and taking over the entire hotel with our friends - they were so great about...

We stayed one night in the Surfer Dude room - good bed and balcony right on the harbor. Enjoyed watching from our room and balcony the fishing boats coming and going. Close to a good restaurant - Local Ocean - which made it an ideal and interesting location. Check-in at the gift shop on the first floor was handled quickly...

So, we are traveling the coast and deciding where to stay each night depending on where we are. Stop in Newport to get lunch, pick up a freeby brochure about Newport and see an ad for the Anchor Pier Lodge ,. Look on tripadvisor and see it gets rave reviews, but someone mentioned getting resers 6 months before. I call...

What a place! After camping on the coast for years we finally had a chance to stay here. We made reservations 6 months in advance. The room was as god as any we have stayed in anywhere. The room was clean and the furnishings were awsome. The staff were very nice and accomodating. I will be back the next time...
