We had an amazing stay in Condo 8. It was extremely well stocked in the kitchen and had a full sized refrigerator so you could cook meals. The condo was well appointed, clean, easy to get to from our car, and very comfortable.

The restaurant had incredibly delicious chef quality food cooked by James. He even came out to see if we liked it as we were eating. You would never expect such incredible food in a ski lodge.

We walked around the facilities and were impressed with how well it was kept. There were staff out sprinkling rock to help with traction on the ice in the parking lots and side walks. There are a nice mixture of hotel rooms, condos, and separate cabins to fit any option you are looking for. The location in the foothills of Mt. Hood was easy to get to, yet away from town. Super quiet and relaxing for our mid February visit! Highly recommend Cooper Spur!

Hello, and thank you for the beautiful review! We are happy to hear that you found your unit to be welcoming, clean, and well-stocked! Chef James does a wonderful job with our menu here and we are proud to have him as part of our team. We will pass along your kind words. Did he mention that all of our ingredients are sourced as locally and sustainably as possible? A real taste of mountain excellence. New spring lodging deals have just been launched on our website- some include vouchers to our Restaurant! We hope to see you again the next time you are ready for a peaceful vacation. -The Cooper Spur Team

We were going to tour the Hood River Fruit Loop and this place was recommended when you pulled up the "stay" tab. I thought it was too far away from the farms to be recommended. It's out in the boonies. That said..it is an older place but nice. The room was clean. The beds were a bit hard for my liking but the pillows were comfy. The bedding was like a down comforter and kept us toasty. The room was dated and lighting is scarce. It is very rustic with lots of wood. I happened to like it but some might not. The bathroom was clean and the sink had been updated but the sink was plugged. The towels are large and soft and comfy. There is no place to plug in USB etc. so be sure to bring a power strip. We brought a power strip tower with usb ports and plug in. The WiFi is iffy. I had a hard time loading my Kindle. The computer was didn't want to pull up. There is a tiny coffee pot in the room. They give you a small amout of coffee at check in. If you want more just ask. You have to get your ice at the office as well. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave in the room. There is a microwave out in the hallway. Sounds strange but it's doable. The people in the office explained everything nicely and were pleasant. The one BIG con is if you stay in the lower level of rooms the room does not get dark at night for sleeping. Even with the blinds pulled light comes in from the lights that are on all night outside in the access hallway. Bring a sleep mask if light bothers you. It does me so I didn't sleep well. We did however enjoy our two night stay and touring the loop.

We had a wonderful time during a Thursday and Friday night stay. The Resort's own ski area closed due to lack of snow but only 15 minutes from Mt Hood Meadows or 10 to Teacup cross country. Service and food at the lodge restaurant was excellent. Front desk person Susan was very welcoming and took care of specific requests. Rooms comfortable.

Thanks for the amazing review, howellh293! We also love how closely we are located to Mt. Hood Meadows, Teacup & Little John SnoParks, and so many more excellent outdoor adventure areas! We do offer discounted lift tickets to Mt Hood Meadows during the winter and spring season for people ready to hit the hill and Snowshoe rentals are available on site seasonally for our cross country trails through our old growth forest. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and your meal in our Tavern & Grill! We work hard to source everything as locally, organically, and sustainably. Did you know we make nearly everything from scratch? Susan is amazing and we are lucky to have her as part of our friendly front desk team! We will pass along your kind words, and hope to see you again the next time you are on the mountain! -The Cooper Spur Team

My wife and I always wanted to stay here because we hike up Cooper Spur on Mt Hood every year and noticed this resort every time we pass it by. We wanted to get out of town with our dog for 4th of July and be away from fireworks or loud noises. We were really happy we chose this place to stay for even one night.

I must say I was very impressed with the customer service, from the hotel staff to the restaurant crew, they were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was a beautiful property and very quiet; which was a nice change to where we live. We ended up getting food and drinks which were good. The hotel room had a odd smell to it and didn't have anytime of AC or fan to cool us down, but honestly it felt like staying at a cabin which was okay for us. We did have an annoying neighbor above us that for some reason wanted to walk around all night. The bed and pillows could use a upgrade eventually, but again we were there for one night.

I am giving them five stars based on their customer service and whole experience minus the odd room smell, but everything was amazing! I highly recommend staying here if you can and enjoy the views, food/drinks and atmosphere of the entire place.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us over the 4th of July! Our mountain home really is a breath of fresh air and a peaceful respite from the city. Thank you for sharing the details of your experience with us. Due to the rustic nature of our Inn, unfortunately the rooms are not airconditioned, however we do have fans available upon request from the front desk and would be happy to supply one during your next stay! We are always happy to address every noise concern that is brought to our attention as well :) We apologize for anything that may have made your stay less than ideal this time around and look forward to seeing you again! -The Cooper Spur Team

Our family escaped to Cooper Spur for a weekend and it was a dream come true. The cabin was cozy. The snow began shortly after arrival. The staff was friendly. It was just what we needed to escape mentally and physically for a couple of days. The snowshoes included with the cabin rental provided great exercise on the newly fallen snow. The basket of continental breakfast each morning was appreciated. The hot tubs were unfortunately broken when we were there, but they were working on getting those fixed. We were bummed not to get to use it, but overall the trip was magical. The food at the Crooked Tree restaurant was good. Portions are large - could've split with my daughter.

We are glad you enjoyed you mountain visit, Mamaede3! Mother Nature has been kind to us and we are glad you got to experience our wintery landscape. The Nordic trails are gorgeous, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the scenery and your breakfast baskets, as well? Did you know we make everything in the tavern from scratch? It is also all sourced as locally and organically as possible. Our servings are generous for after a big day on the mountain! We hope you are able to come again and take advantage of the outdoor hottubs- they will be waiting for you! Until then we hope you have a happy holiday and a great new year! -The Cooper Spur Team

Hello Imewalt! Thanks for the great review! We are glad you had a great weekend here at our resort and enjoyed your rooms! They served *raw* chicken to my 14 month old when I ordered from the kids menu. I told them and they didn't even say they would immediately take it off the bill, didn't apologize, and didn't offer to serve something that was actually fully cooked. So disgusting and I'm do disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Please forgive our delayed response as we were looking into this incident. We sincerely apologize for the manner in which this situation was handled. It is one thing to mistakenly serve an undercooked meal, but our service staff should have immediately apologized and remedied the situation on the spot. I have followed up with both our chef and service staff to ensure that proper measures are taken in the future. If you would do us the honor of visiting again, we would love to offer your family a free meal. -The Cooper Spur Team

Abusive price for little (or almost nothing) to do at the “resort”. No attractions. Just playing in the snow. Even the ski area was closed, even in winter with a lot of snow. Very disappointed that the sauna and hot tubs were not working. For this price, they should at least offer breakfast and include it in the price. On the positive side, comfortable and cozy rooms, and very attentive and friendly staff, especially at the tavern.

Hello Homero- We’re very sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with the price of your stay. Our pricing is comparable to Hood River accommodations during Winter Break. We have lots of less expensive timeframes and we offer many packages and specials throughout the year. Winter Break has the highest booking demand. Our hotel is the only hotel on the north side of Mt. Hood, and it comes with considerable snow removal. Our ski area and Nordic center opened Sunday, the day you checked out. Of course we would’ve liked to open earlier, but we didn’t have the snow needed until this weekend. That was the same situation for several other resorts on Mt. Hood. Our hotel guests receive free snowshoe rentals and Nordic track fees, we offer a free shuttle to our ski area for anyone staying with us, and we also offer discounted tickets to Mt Hood Meadows during non-holiday timeframes. In the summer we offer BBQ amenities, a gaming pavilion, and free scenic chair rides at Mt. Hood Meadows. https://cooperspur.com/amenities/ We do not have hot tubs or a sauna. We don’t advertise that we do. It’s not a matter of them not working, we don’t have those amenities. We've never had a sauna onsite, and we discounted our old hot tubs 3 years ago. We hope to add a nice commercial saltwater soaking tub on a different part of our property in the future. We do appreciate your business and your valuable feedback, and we hope to see you again in the future. Again, we offer some really great deals throughout the year, but Christmas Break is just a peak time, with peak pricing for our small resort. Sincerely- The Cooper Spur Team

The entire staff at Cooper Spur was amazing! Everything was so clean and sanitized.
The cabin style condo was perfect for our family of 6, lots of room with a spiral loft, we cooked and even baked brownies but still enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Crooked TreeTavern & Lounge. Location is perfect and we had an incredible day of skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows. The hot tub was exactly what we needed after that snow day! Thank you Susan & Jilliane and the entire staff at Cooper Spur for making our family time together so very special. We will definitely return one day!

My wife and I stayed at the Cooper for 4 nights last week (August 2022) and also 4 nights last year in September. We enjoyed both stays very much! The staff is friendly, the location is perfect if you want to go hiking or simply get away from the city.

This year they upgraded us for free to a condo! The condo was so nice! It gave us that cabin type of feeling. That a surprise to us! We didn’t know about until we checked in.

We are looking forward to going back there next year probably!
