A little odd for a downtown Marriott. But to be expected in Portland! Great location for exploring by foot. We ate in the restaurant one evening as we were travelling with a small child and that was easier than going out. It was great for a hotel dining experience. Good value.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It definitely seems that Portland always finds a way to put a quirky spin on things. I am so glad that had a great time at our restaurant. If you ever decide to stay with us again please feel free to ask our Guest Satisfaction Ambassador for direction. See you...

We stayed in town for our wedding- and used this hotel for our out of town guests, as well as where we stayed the night of our wedding. First of all, they managed to get us checked in way ahead of schedule so we'd have plenty of time to get ready for rehearsal. On Friday evening the bridesmaids and I...

The rooms are SUPER noisy--you can hear folks next door like they are sitting in your room. That and the lobby is really quirky and it's impossible to catch a cab from the hotel. No idea why but frustrating none the less. Lesson learned for me!!

I am sorry to hear that you had such an awkward time with us. It sounds like you were staying with us over the weekend. During the busier seasons Portland does tend to come alive and things can get a bit loud on occasion. During rush hour it can be difficult to catch a cab right away but if you...

We recently stayed here on a trip through Portland and it was very nice. It's located downtown and it's fairly close to everything. The rooms are large and very comfortable - particularly the beds. I really have no complaints...you get what you paid for...it's just disappointing that you need to pay extra for parking. But that's typical of most hotels...

Thank you for all the kind words. We try our best to make all of our guests as happy as possible. We are completely aware that it costs quite a bit to vacation in the city. But in the end it is worth it to be located in the heart of any city that you decide to visit.

Fantastic location in the heart of Portland's downtown. Easy walking distance to any downtown locations. If you drive, finding street parking adjacent to the hotel to unload is challenging. They do have valet parking, but the cost is $37USD per day. In our opinions, that is outrageous for this city. We did some research and found U-Park locations within blocks...

Thank you for such a great review. I am happy to find that overall you had a great time. I did do some research on valet parking in the downtown area of Portland and the prices range from $30-$38 overnight. If there is anything else that I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

We spent our 1st night of a week long Oregon visit at this Marriott. After flying across the country, we were wiped out and the staff here was welcoming, friendly and efficient at taking care of our needs. We especially appreciated one of the valets, Colman. He was extremely helpful in not only taking care of our rental, but he...

We visited Portland the week after Labor Day. My niece who attended Lewis and Clark University, recommended we stay here and she was spot on. The hotel is basically in the business and transportation center of the city and a convenient walk to most things on this side of the river including Powell books and the hordes of micro breweries....

The hotel is nothing to write home about, just classic furniture and decorations. The location is excellent however right in the center of Portland. You have absolutely everything within walking distance - restaurants, bars, shops, museums, parks, and of course Portland's famous bookshops. Combined with this, the rates are usually excellent at this hotel for a place so central. The...

No faults were found with this hotel. Check-in and out were quick. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I left my fleece in the lobby after check-out and realized it half-way to the airport.
