The house is in a great neighbourhood and you can explore shops and cafes on either side of neighbourhood. The house is beautiful and warm. We found the eagle room comfortable and the bed was great. I slept really well. We only had to share the bathroom one night out of four nights and the guests were really nice when...

I've stayed at a few B&B's, and this was by far the most welcoming and comfortable of them all. It was not the fanciest or most luxurious, but it was cozy and I never felt like I was imposing, or like I was obligated to hang out for that matter. Sandy was very good at walking that line- always an...

The Cherokee Rose felt like home in the literal sense and also spiritually. I feel at home when I'm not surrounded by animal products on the kitchen table! Sandy is a gracious host with just the right amount of interaction, made me feel welcomed and at the same time respected my privacy needs.

Enjoyed my 3 night stay. Sandy was very sweet, helpful and made delicious vegan breakfasts. Inn is located in a residential area within easy walking distance of transit stops and good restaurants. Sharing the bath was not a problem. Felt like I was just staying at her home and not in a hotel. Very comfortable and safe place to stay,...

Warm welcome, superb breakfast, lovely host. A/C in rooms. I had read one negative review about the place being dusty - yes, it's not like a sterile hotel - there's some dust under the bed and the floor creaks, but if you can deal with that you'll love it!

Excellent all around. Amazing (vegan!) food served at 8am every morning that anyone (including non-vegans) will love! The host is very friendly and knowledgeable of Portland and the surrounding areas--she was very helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were clean and private, free wi-fi (and a computer to use in case you didn't bring one), and there was...

We decided to visit Portland because of its vegan-friendliness and this vegan B&B perfectly complemented our trip. Host Sandy was very helpful and cooked a delicious variety of breakfasts and other treats. We were fortunate in being the only guests during our stay and so did not have to share the guest bathroom! Great neighbourhood, convenient to several vegan restaurants...

Wonderful owner, Sandy; felt like home; great breakfast; and, for me, a fantastic location as I did not have to rent a car - everything I needed was within walking distance. It is a small bed & breakfast - with 2 available rooms - the Wolf Room and the Eagle Room - both one flight up in this 104 year...

I first want to say that Sandy, the owner, is very sweet and accommodating so I feel reluctant to give a review like this, but I am hoping this will inspire her to make some necessary changes to her home. Based on prior reviews, My husband and I, along with a friend, rented both rooms for one night in April....

After searching for airbnb apartments, I decided to go b&b's a try. I came across Cherokee Inn listing almost by accident but I knew right away it was a perfect place for me as a vegan traveller. The house is in a quiet leafy area, around 15 minutes from downtown by bicycle. To be honest, Portland's downtown is not that...
