Very classy hotel with early 20th century architecture, modernized in all the right ways. From the lobby to the lounge to the room suites, the character of this hotel is pretty cool. Layered on top of great design and upkeep, the staff were extra helpful, speedy and warm. I'll be back.

I have stayed @ this property many times and have never been disappointed with the service top to bottom. My last visit I valeted parked and my car was vandalized. Nothing was taken but my console, glove box and trunk were rifled and my radio had been turned on and was on a station which I do not frequent.

Dear Catherinea87, I responded to your email you sent to us last week as well and I hope we can speak further soon. We have a seasoned group of valets who take great pride in their job and care for our guests possessions so I was surprised to hear of this, clearly not an experience we want any guest to...

We come to Portland multiple times each year for the symphony. The Heathman has become our home away from home. The rooms are spacious and the location is perfect. We also enjoy the restaurant at the Heathman and find the food interesting and delicious.

Excellent location, competent and friendly staff, and nice standard room with a bathroom the size of a postage stamp. Will book again but will ask for other options. Valet parking was courteous and efficient.

Started staying at the Heathman in 1985... and in all the years since, with all the changes, it's still a pleasure & with consistently good service. The rooms may be a little smaller than newer hotels, but the combination of comfort and location make it worthwhile.) We'll be back soon !

The Heathman encompasses all that one would expect from a 5 star hotel. The room was immaculate as well as tastefully and comfortably decorated. The service was on point, Josh the doorman was respectful and affable, the food was enjoyable. One would never know that the city was so alive outside as the practically sound proof room provided a splendid...

The Heathman has again proven itself to be the quintessential all-encompassing hotel for all purposes while also providing great comfort and personal service as well as great resources. Nothing is wasted, tho, as excessive. The ONLY [personal requisite] offering found lacking [still] remains the unavailability of Beefeaters Gin, inexplicable on many grounds, not the least that guests are greeted and...

Attend the Portland area for business. It was excessively rainy even for Portland and it was a treat to stay at the Heathman. Service was wonderful. The room was exquisite. The service in the dining room was tasty. The hospitality was gracious.

Absolutely perfect location close to everything - you can get around without a car for much in the downtown area. Comfy beds. Rooms are a decent size (bathrooms a bit tiny), but the real star is the service. Staff is attentive and extremely friendly. It is not a chain, so those looking for a chain experience should go elsewhere, but...
