We recently spent 3 nights at The Heathman and had a wonderful time and experience. We loved the location and everybody was so friendly and helpful. The only complaint, and we're not the only one's, is that the valet parking is $39/night. That is way too steep especially when you can go around the corner and pay anywhere from $15-$20.

And it has been The Heathman for close to ninety years. Fans of period architecture should marvel at the main floor's appointments and detail. They do a good job of preservation. I have lived in the PDX metro all my life and have dined there, but never had a reason to stay there. Then a concert popped up at the...

The hotel is very central and service is good. As the building is among the smaller ones there is not much view and light into the room is quite limited. So as a business-type room where you just sleep and rest it's fine. I would not take my family or stay in this hotel if I had to spend more...

Dear Mortenhoegh, Thank you for taking the time out to review the Heathman. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the French Press in the room and the hotel. We certainly do have some rooms that are a bit brighter than others and will be working on a newer lighting program to give a bit more light to the...

We had four rooms in the hotel for a group, but there were no tables and also for a hotel guests in the restaurant. According to Michael, the hotel manager, of the bookable tables had been taken for four weeks. It was Mother's Day, but they had a huge first come, first serve area that they refused to reserve, despite...

I would love to discuss your stay with your further. I am certainly addressing these issues with my team and the restaurant manager. Thank you again for...

I love staying here. It is awesome with a perfect location downtown. The Heathman always provides such first class customer service. The restaurant is wonderful & high tea is fun. I can't wait to go back again real soon for some fun in the city.

We arrived by cab and the valets were immediately at the curb to open the car door, welcome us and retrieve our luggage. During our stay, as soon as we exited the hotel, they always greeted us warmly and promptly obtained a cab if needed. At the registration desk, when we checked in, we were again treated in a warm,...

The Heathman Hotel continues to be a great place to lay one's head, especially with the choice of either a featherbed or a Tempurpedic mattress. The breakfasts are very good and the dining room takes you back to elegant days past in this historic hotel. The staff are very friendly and it's always fun to see the doormen dressed in...

We splurged (for us, anyway) and stayed a night at the Heathman while in Portland three nights ago (a Friday night). When we first pulled up to valet, although the valet's were standing there watching us and not helping anyone else, we actually sat for quite a few minutes waiting for one of them to greet/help us. We finally got...

Was one of my favorite hotel in Portland. But our recent visiting turned out a little disappointed. The room was very expensive (over $400 with two small dogs) And wore out carpet around our room door way. When I told the front desk, all I got was'oh, we are just a boutique hotel.' I don't know that was an excuse....

We travel to Portland every month or two and try to stay at several of the "best" hotels, like the Heathman, the Nines, the Benson, the deLuxe but we most often wind up here at the Heathman.
