We were astonished at the beautiful, newly renovated studio we had--it was tastefully decorated, had a wonderfully comfy bed, modern kitchen appliances, and a clean/modern bath. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was a must for me, and with the great coffee selections it made for a good start of the...

I'm excited about all the new things to come and would love to have you back to share your comments with us. I hope you enjoyed the Portland post card outside your guestroom door!...

My wife and I just returned from Portland and stayed at this cool and funky hotel called "The Mark Spencer Hotel" where we very much enjoyed our stay; intact, we plan on staying there during our next visit to Portland. We found the staff very professional and helpful. In addition to the cleanliness of our room we were able to...

Just returned from our first visit as a family to Portland. The Mark Spencer is in a great location to access everything the city has to offer We stayed in a junior suite which gave us just the right amount of space. The kitchenette was very useful. The wine tasting and continental breakfasts were much welcomed. We will definitely return.

Thank you for your review! We look forward to our guests comments and appreciate your time. I'm happy you were able to join us for our complimentary evening wine reception. It's always a fun time for us to be able to visit with you and have you sample some of Oregon's finest wines - not to mention the fresh-baked cookies!...

We reserved this hotel via Trivago/Expedia; landing what we considered to be a good deal for our 5-day getaway to Portland. We were not disappointed; rather we found just about everything about this hotel to be excellent (bed/mattresses let them down a little!). Seldom have we found a hotel that was more welcoming and professionally friendly towards their guests. From...

A solo vacation trip, self titled "Discover the PacificNW", started in Portland at the Mark Spencer for 4 nights. As a gay, single traveler I found the hotel ideal. All the desk staff were gracious and helpful. The location is very central making it easy to walk everywhere - even over to the Eastside across the Burnside Bridge. Excellent restaurants...

Three friends and I found this hotel through a TravelZoo deal, and I am so glad we did. Every single hotel staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgable and happy to help. I'm sure you had quite a long cross-country trip from Florida! So glad you found your guestrooms comfortable. You can't beat Kenny & Zuke's for a deli experience. They make the best pastrami sandwich in town! You also said you found Cafe Theobroma. I hope you tried one of their delicious breakfast crepes. Their lunch salads are also quite good!...

I lucked into one of the recently renovated rooms. It had a queen sized bed, a seating area, a desk, and a completely outfitted kitchen. I mean a kitchen with everything: stove, microwave, coffee maker, plates, glasses, cups, pots and pans, a cutting board, kitchen utensils, you name it. You would never guess that the hotel is under renovation. Somehow...

Incredible value, especially with the travelzoo promotion we used (probably only available during low season), but a value at any price nonetheless with the inclusion of free wifi, decent small breakfast, great coffee/tea all day (loved that coffee machine, where can I get one?), mid-afternoon cookies, and a wine hour with cheese/crackers -- and good Oregon wines at that! Service...
