A wonderful ranch with nice people and lovely horses. Loved the small town Sisters and the beautiful mountain views in the area. Lots of things to see and do in the area!!! Highly recommend staying at the long Hollow Ranch with excellent breakfast homemade by Shirley, and good conversation! Loved it!

A group of us were B & B guests, staying in the Homestead. The drive to the ranch, through Deschutes National Forest, was stunning and the ranch itself is surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Everyone who worked or stayed there was a delight to encounter. One of our group operates under the delusion she is "allergic" to all foods except 3...

We just finished our 3 night stay at the ranch. From the moment we arrived, to the time that we left, we were treated as friends. Horses were carefully selected for us according to riding experience. Long Hollow Ranch is in a fantastic location and makes a good base to explore central Oregon. We had a wonderful time at the...

The ranch was nice enough but there is nothing worse than being made to feel second rate to other guests. Despite numerous enquiries before arriving and on arrival we did not get the chance to do any horse riding - unlike all the other guests. On our departure day, a girl said goodbye to us - turned out she was...

Hello! James: Thank you for your review and your observations. We must offer our very sincere apology for your unpleasant experience here that made you feel like a "second class" guest. As you can see based on reviews from other guests, that is not a common occurrence. Several issues contributed to the situation I will describe as follows: First, let...

This is about the only guest ranch in Oregon. It is well located and easily accessible. The owner/operartors Dick and Shirley are particularily welcoming and helpful. The room which we used was well appointed, very clean, and convenient. Meals are quite excellent and interesting. The horseback riding is excellent for beginner to moderate skill levels and in scenic surrounds. Our...

I did not realize that this was right in my own backyard. My daughters, granddaughter and myself stayed for two nights and had the most wonderful time. It is so peaceful and everyone is so friendly and they makes you feel like this is your home as well as theirs. The delicious homemade country breakfast is a must for anyone...

Dick and Shirley are terrific company, warm, we felt like family almost immediately. Comfortable beds, reasonable price, slept well in clean high Oregon plateau air, terrific breakfast, very friendly staff. RELAXING. Nice walks around the ranch, with trail riding and fishing options.

My family, 2 adults and 2 kids, stayed here in July 2015 anticipating a Guest Ranch experience like others that we have visited in recent years in the West. While LHR is a nice and charming property, it was run more like a hotel than Guest Ranch. The ranch was indeed very western with a broad veranda and authentic decor....

Thank you for your review and comments. Just wish we had received this more near the time of your visit last year so we could be more current with our comments. Our memory is not perfect, but I do recall that last year this time we were experiencing a number of difficulties in part due to dealing with the unusually...

I arrived at Long Hollow Ranch to a warm welcome and a tour of the ranch house from Shirley and felt instantly relaxed. Coming from the UK and not being that well travelled I was blown away by the 'feel' and western decor. The grounds were immaculately tended and the views were superb. My room was one of four upstairs,...

Friday night we decided to drive down from Portland to central Oregon for some new scenery. We were fortunate to find a place available at the ranch. We had an adorable cabin that met all our needs. The property is breathtaking. We spent time walking around, visiting with horses, checking out the cows and more. A peaceful respite indeed. Breakfast...
