We stayed at LHR for four days. From the moment we drove down the driveway we knew this was going to be a wonderful stay. Shirley and Dick are the most gracious hosts, welcoming us by name. The rooms were clean, homey, and best of all no TV!! We came to explore the area and its love of horses and...

My husband and I stayed for our 15 year wedding anniversary this past weekend. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we were awestruck at the beauty that was Long Hollow Ranch. The setting, the staff, the food and the accommodations were ALL amazing! We stayed in the original homestead and we were not disappointed as it offered modern...

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Long Hollow Ranch and in their homestead cottage in Summer 2015. It's an absolutely idyllic place to enjoy peace, quiet, nature and horses. The cottage is lovely and manages to keep yesteryear's atmosphere while being modernised throughout (the decor is in keeping with the ranch's cowboy theme). It easily sleeps...

My husband and I stayed at Long Hollow Ranch for a few days as we explored the area and found it to be truly wonderful. The wrangler (who has since left - he was a short-term hire, check before you go to see if they have replaced him!) was excellent and he spent the time teaching us how to tack...

We were not able to go in 2014, but finally made it In September 2015. I don't know how they could improve on perfection, but Dick and Shirley did it!! They surround themselves with wonderful "assistants - Ron and Pat helped to keep things running smoothly, while Karen (and Pat) kept the delicious food coming. We stayed in the Ochoco...

Me and my Daughter stayed here for three nights during the Sister's Rodeo and had a great time! My daughter Cassidy loved every bit of it, and wants us to come again. First off, they were booked up full, but Dick and Shirley let us stay in their fifth wheel, which was super accommodating with our own TV, shower, kitchen,...

We initially stayed in March and it was a bust - with no trail rides. They gave us a gift certificate for a redo and it was great in the high summer. The cottage has a full kitchen, stove and fridge plus plates and glasses. They have a TV/VCR with old movies, and some board games and even mini pool....

Pros: - Gorgeous surroundings - Incredible food (go for "full service") - Very, very friendly, kind staff that made our trip... Ron, Pat and Sarah especially made it awesome! - Secluded serenity that isn't too ridiculously far from Sisters, Redmond, Terrebonne, and Bend - Near Smith Rock Cons: - Staff seems VERY tired and spread thin - Horses were sweet,...

As a Bed & Breakfast this place was fine, but if you are looking for a Dude Ranch experience you might want to keep looking. In terms of a Bed and Breakfast, the people (staff?) were nice and so were the rooms. Each had air conditioning & their own bathroom. Food for a Bed and Breakfast was not lacking in...

Thank you for the comprehensive and useful comments. You are correct in your assessment of the situation during the time you were here and we appreciate your objectivity. The situation was not good at that time and we definitely owe you an apology. We were in a severely stressful period, having first lost a key employee and the sudden loss...
