My husband and I stayed at the Bird and Hat Inn in June 2015 and loved our clean, spacious room! It was very comfortable and we especially loved the patio that was all to ourselves, right off of our room. Susan made sure we had everything we needed or wanted and was a very gracious host while the owner was...

This is a quaint, historic location in a quiet little town. We like older buildings and architecture and this B&B did not disappoint. We stayed in both rooms and both were comfortable, unique and very clean. They are furnished with antiques, but not the fussy frou-frou type. The owner Jackie makes this place super special with her hospitality, stories and...

What a charming place to stay. This historic home had all the right touches for an enjoyable stay. Since I was here on business for one night, it was just perfect. It's a must stay if ever in Stayton. Jacqueline was quite the hostess and made me feel at home away from home.

From the first step into the front door I felt at home. Jacqueline is an excellent host/manager. The place is very clean and organized. We stayed two nights and everything was awesome. This was my first time at a Bed & Breakfast and I was surprised that I enjoyed staying at this victorian style home much more than staying in...

We booked Bird & Hat B&B because of the rave reviews we'd read, and we were not disappointed. The place is darling with its lovely garden, tasteful decor, and comfortable feel. Jacqueline, the inkeeper, was gracious and accommodating. We called ahead to let her know of our dietary requirements, and she made us a scrumptious and beautiful breakfast in accordance...

Usually, when I travel from CA to Canada, I stop in motels close to I-5. This time, I chose to stay in a small, independently run BnB called "Bird 'n Hat Inn" in Stayton, OR. I was just amazed by the reviews this place got so I checked it out. It's a beautiful reniewed historical house with a very lovely...

Booked last minute and was lucky to get a room for two nights due to a cancellation. The home is on the historic registry and the current owner has built on a beautiful attachment for their use. The attached unit blends perfect with the old and makes this inn look very grand. The original garden had been filled in during...

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to Silver Falls State Park- I wanted to take my husband hiking on the Trail of the 10 Falls... and this B n B fit the bill perfectly. Our room was called the 'Back' Room and had a private bath and its' own little private balcony. We hiked the...

We were attending a large family event in Scio, Oregon, a small town with no hotels, motels, or B&Bs. We opted to stay at the Bird & Hat Inn in Stayton, not too far away and highly recommended on TripAdvisor. Jacqueline Kirby is now running the place by herself; we found her to be charming and thoughtful. The rooms are...

This is a nice BnB in a small town. Our host was very friendly, the room was clean and the location ok. Dinner options seemed to be light in town, with only fast food to go for. As an alternative it was suggested that we pick some food up from Roth's and that we prepare a meal at the BnB,...

“We had the Back Room.. it was great. I found the mattress a bit firm, but hubby LOVED it. The early evening was a bit noisy from the neighboring house, but that stopped after about 7:30.... then was lovely. Room has black out blinds, which I love as I am light sensitive... very nice.”

“All the rooms are good. Just ask to be sure you are getting a room with a bathroom in it if you are uncomfortable walking a few steps down the hall to use your bathroom. They do provide robes for that instance, though.”
