I came to visit a friend in the area for a few days and stayed at the resort. The half of the yurt I stayed in was cute and very clean with a great view from the huge windows and deck. I came mid week and it was quiet, but I imagine mid season and weekends are busier. Located right on the golf course and is great if you play! There is a beautiful hiking trail right at the edge of the resort and it takes you into the canyon near the Crooked River. Breathtaking views, but bring water, it's more challenging coming back up than it looks. Only 15 minutes from the incredible Smith Rock State Park which has hiking trails galore! Spent a day there and it was nice to have a comfy bed to come back to. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. If you're looking for a place that beautiful and has a great vibe, this is it. Not far from Bend, but a world away from the bustle of town. Definitely will be back.

I want to be very constructive here in my criticism and state that the reason we gave 3 stars and not less is that I don't think we got the true resort experience because it was the end of Oct and freezing cold (18°F when we left). The grounds look kinda cool and quaint but the room we had which was facing the golf course was very small. However this wasn't the main reason for the low rating, : its that there is virtually zero sound proofing between you and the folks staying in the other half of the yurt. We heard virtually every word of every conversation. We heard someone showering at 230am. We heard the music presumably coming from their cell phone. I could have sung along. Now these weren't necessarily noisy people, it's that it was like being on the other side of a curtain. As a frequent traveler, I ask very little from the rooms I stay in, but some level of quiet is one thing. I wish them every success going forward but this place just isn't for me.

Such an interesting place! Love the rooms which are clean and comfortable. The front desk employees are extremely nice and accommodating. There is a pool and food within walking distance but it is very quiet. Highly recommend! It is a bit out of the way but worth it.

This I gotta tell you is the best out of 100s I’ve been to I mean 110/100 recommended Fran her self the amazing owner is really nice, if ur bored just go to her!!! She has games in her office, she’s a very honest women and made the visit the best, I would only come back because she’s fabulous at her job and she made the hotels look fabulous, and when ur going down the hill to the hotel there a fabulous look out for good pictures!! There’s also a golf course and a tennis spot!!! It looks like there’s nothing there but coming out of the resort you can go right for a little bit and there’s a mini market made for trucks and cars!! But it’s a really good peaceful place to stay, and Don’t be worried about what the kids and where they’ll play because there’s a little park that you can see from ur resort!! Fran also has free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa you can get from her office, she also has ice bags for three dollars, and drinks for 75 cents and her office closes around 9:30 so come down! She’s never a rude person and she can help you with any questions or concerns you have. (I doubt you’ll have a concern) 100000000/100 recommended

Recently stayed at the Sun View Motel located at the Crooked River Resort about ten miles from Redmond, OR. In addition to my reservation being mishandled, there is NO place to have breakfast or get coffee. There is a convenience store, but it does not open until after eight. Most people staying at this "resort" are camping or RV travelers. If you plan to stay be sure to bring your own food and be careful of the incompetent, limited staff.
