Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Nestled near scenic trails and attractions, Mt Hood Village Campground's location is frequently lauded by guests for its convenience. While the campground offers diverse amenities, including a heated pool and comfortable beds, some travelers feel the value doesn't match the high costs, mentioning subpar amenities for the price.
Service experiences vary, with reports of both friendly assistance and management issues. Although the atmosphere and cleanliness receive mixed reviews, maintenance concerns, particularly in the game room and bathroom areas, are a recurring theme.

Detailed Reviews
We are new to camping, but trying. We rented a deluxe cabin which has a bathroom, beds and small kitchenette. We still were able to make a campfire, cook outdoors but also nice to run into the cabin to use the restroom and shower each night. The beds are so comfortable and included clean linens too.
We loved having the swimming pool & hot tub amenities on site too.
We can't wait to go back, and will visit sister sites in Oregon along the coast.

Our family stayed in a temperature controlled cabin that slept 6 for 3 nights. Upon arrival (a 1/2 hour after check-in) our cabin was still being cleaned and not ready. We had received a courtesy call to let us know, but I'm not sure how beneficial it was. Overall, the cabin was nice, but some deep cleaning needs to be done (cobwebs hanging from ceiling, ceiling fans covered in dust). As far as amenities, we utilized the laundry and the pool. Laundry is coin free and uses and app and/or card reader to activate machines. There is no vending available for detergent or softener. The pool was clean but lacked umbrella tables for those watching children at the pool. Mt. Hood Village is close to many outdoor activities in and around Mt. Hood.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the little Savannah tiny house. Yes it was small, but very cute and we had all we needed including ample space for a 2 night stay. The common facilities were great, a well-stocked village store, friendly staff who went the extra mile to give us all the information we needed for our ski experience, easy check in, great value and gave us a real feel for the tiny house "scene".
There had been other reviews talking about a sulfur smell to the water...we asked and found out it's because the water actually comes from the mountain runoff. I had talked directly to the staff to get questions answered prior to booking and they advised that sometimes the smell was stronger, gut not unpleasant. They suggested we bring bottled water to drink just in case. It was NOT an issue.
Really enjoyed our stay and the staff and facilities were super!

To start off the park is beautifully maintained by a wonderful group of staff past the maintenance staff I wouldn't trust a single person that works at this park I wouldn't trust a single person that is affiliated with thousand trails in any way shape or form. And pass the most basic of packages I would never invest my money with them again! They're far better programs out there that are a lot less scammy! From the job I started with the $70 package this allowed me to camp at any thousand trails campground that was not an encore campground for up to 14 days then I had to leave for 7 days and I could come back for 14 more I tried that out for a while and really like the program after staying for a while I spoke with Michael at Mount Hood village who sold me on an elite basic package without telling me that you are essentially now paying two membership fees he sold me on the fact that I would be able to use extension weeks during both high and low peak seasons. I was in the truck accident and unfortunately my rig got stuck at one of the parks members of the thousand trails campground we're texting me and I was in the hospital I'm coherent to the situation however once I got notification of the situation and notified the park of what was going on and that I didn't currently have a truck to tow my rig out they said that it was my responsibility even if I needed to pay for a tow truck I figured since this was a membership Park and I had access to extension weeks both high and low use that the park would apply this however I'm finding out that they did not and instead want to charge me $1,500 for my rig being there for one week I've stayed in Parks all over Portland and not a single one of them charges more than $850 a month I rig was at this park for one week longer than it should have been and they are trying to price gouge the hell out of me even threaten me with towing my home out of the park when I tried to call and make payment arrangements the young lady on the other side of the line did nothing but laugh at me and tell me I was trying to tell her a sob story to make her feel sad as if life doesn't happen again I will never stay at a thousand trails campground I wouldn't even consider wasting my money on a nightly stay at one of these parks

Our tiny house had 1 roll of toilet paper in the whole cabin for 5 of us. Really annoying.
And it would’ve been lovely if you cleaned the couch-it had SO many stains on it. Also you should add coat hooks near the door there no where to hang clothes. The heater in the bedroom downstairs doesn’t work and was freezing the whole time. And your sink water needs deeply cleaned it smells like eggs.
I probably won’t stay again:(

Stayed in Zoe for two night for the cost of a very nice hotel……I loved the concept. However, the stay was tainted by the disrepair and problems of the accommodation.
Eg: inadequate amount of crockery, no frying pan, no lids to pots, no toaster, a kitchen sink plug that was useless, window handles that fall off (including the emergency exit one) dust bunnies in all the cupboards, timber falling from step, broken chair, non draining shower, curtain which literally gets soaked every time you have a wash!
The location is EXTREMELY noisy, I would have thought a better location for the mini homes could have been chosen than within metres of a very busy highway.
For the price we paid I expected a lot more. If these mini homes don’t have a good solid spring clean and repair they will soon implode!
They can’t just rely on the mini home appeal, it needs to be clean and maintained as well.
Would I stay again…..NOT in their current state!

We were highly unsatisfied with our RV site. The grounds were not maintained (we looked at multiple othe RV sites and they all were). It was overgrown with blackberry bushes and there was dog poop in the site (which my daughter stepped in), and the fire pit was in the middle of the blackberry bushes. We also were not told the passcode to the bathroom, and had to ask another camper what it was. We called the front desk multiple times to try and see if we could change camp sites or ask questions and no one answered. When I went to the front desk there were 2 ladies and one confirmed that the camp sites fire pit was in the bushes but “forgot to tell someone and I couldn’t move it, it was too heavy,” The other lady asked me if I wanted “bubbles to make my son feel better about the poop” (which clearly she was not listening because I said my daughter stepped in it. When I asked how they could help make my stay more enjoyable they again asked if we wanted some bubbles?!?! I asked if we could get a discount on the rate (we are locals and live 3 miles away and were only there testing our camper for one night), and she said “oh no, I can’t discount anything.” I then asked if we could have a free night to come back, or a pool pass for another day, and she said that the person (can’t remember their name) would have to make that decision and they weren’t there until Monday (this was on a Saturday). They said they’d email her to contact me. It is not Wednesday (7/3) before the holiday and it’s been radio silence. This was a horrible experience and left a horrible taste in our mouth. It’s bad enough that this place is closed to locals, but then for them to treat a paying customer the way that they did and no customer service or follow through; completely unacceptable. To offer “bubbles” to make our trip better is also unprofessional and unjustified. I would not recommend this place, and will continue to try and give feedback to the manager.

Wonderful stay in VM. Landscape you could tell was freshly done throughout, nice leveled site, and the pool is open once again. The water is so clear and heated, the improvements made to the structure look fantastic and the kiddos loved the weekend activities. Staff was very friendly and helpful to any maintenance request that were needed.

Poor care of RV sites; large fallen branches and limbs not cleared off site pad before arrival. Staff dropped Large trees taken down throughout the park and left in piles all throughout the park grounds. Maintenance staff does nothing other than drive around and doesn’t clean sites or anything else and this has been an issue for years. They have gone through several managers and now without one and it’s even more mismanaged. Their daytime weekly staff are rude and condescending staff. We have camped here for 20 + yrs. Disappointed.

Fun to check out what tiny home living must be like. Pleasantly surprised that they had air conditioning but unable to cool the loft sleeping areas during our one-night “heatwave” stay. An oscillating fan would help to direct cool air upstairs to sleeping lofts. Ground coffee and filters with creamer & sugar would have been nice since all that was provided was a poor quality prepackaged coffee/filter with no sugar or powdered creamer. Brought frozen meal thinking there would be a microwave but was able to improvise by cooking at low temperature in the largest pan provided with a lid. Nice campgrounds which aren’t too crowded together.

You can use the showers for no additional charge. You do need a code to access the shower rooms.
It will get snow there.
Don't know about heating the yurts. Is it on the resorts website?
There are a few meadows. Lots of good walking within a few minutes to an hour from the resort.
Definitely go to the Lodge up on Mount Hood and try to join the free tour.
You'll have to walk into the resort office directly to see what their rates are. I don't remember seeing anything senior-specific. However, I did notice a list of daily and monthly rates for "non-guests" of the park.
P.S. Your question was written as if you thought you were writing directly to the resort when it was in response to a personal review of mine.
