We visited here on thanksgiving day for their holiday dinner. The dinner was quite good, they serve turkey, ham, fish and roast beef with a large variety of salads, sides and desserts. The cheese appetizer bar was excellent. The main reason that kept me from giving the restaurant five stars is that some of the sides were overseasoned. The tarragon... More

I truly can’t say enough about The Riverside Inn. I can say what I know I experienced. I had my wedding there October 22 and let me just say it was the second most amazing day of my life (second to the birth of our child). Jeremy Ball managed our wedding and boy did he go above and beyond for... More

Excellent feast of soup, salad, bread, whole roast chicken & stuffing and barbeque pork, and dessert all served without eating utensils and served by the theater performers between skits. Lovely grounds to take a walk. This performance has 9 actors and actresses each with wonderful singing voices and many talents. The hotel has many antiques and is a revival of... More

We went to the Sunday performance of the Renaissance Feast at the Riverside Inn this past weekend. What a wonderful show!! The cast is hilarious, the jokes and skits are about an election, the singing is amazing, and the food is delicious. The dialog for the skits is quite timely and a great spoof on the election race we see... More

Beautiful antiques, gracious hosts, good food! Enjoyed the revival of a by-gone era - lovely grounds to walk down to the nearby river, swing on a old-fashioned swing hung from a huge oak tree. Dinner theater was fun- chicken is good choice, big sweet potato, delicious pumpkin pie for dessert during intermission. Charming play "Driving Miss Daisy". Room is small... More

This is such a special place, a trip back to another era. The dining room is the same as it has been for over a century...gorgeous! Food is fantastic. If you desire something more casual, the lounge is fun and bar appetizers are very good (try the homemade provolone encrusted wheel). The staff here are top notch....service is excellent. The... Check in was easy. This is an old Inn, 131 years in business. The rooms are like walking back in time...everything is antique. The place is neat..but no TV..no phones...no fridge or microwave...it was clean, quite and peaceful. They have dinner theatre on the weekends. They have a fantastic breakfast. Check out was easy as they gave you your receipt... More

I've been eating in the Concord Room of the Riverside Inn ever since moving to this general area seven years ago, as it's a pleasant destination for a day trip. I had lunch there today with out-of-town visitors, thinking to show them some local color. (And they loved the authentic Victorian aura of the hotel) But I have been disappointed... More

My daughter and I were treated wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Turn of the Century Hotel with the most delightful Pub. We even played gin rummy at a pub table! Extremely reasonable prices and wonderful staff. Will definitely return... Hopefully to see a "sprit" or two!

The gardens and grounds are beautiful. The wide, expansive porch is to die for. Antiques abound throughout. The lounge is very attractive with a well stocked bar and our bar tendress was very pleasant and helpful. In fact all of the staff was pleasant, friendly and courteous. Rooms are vintage but functional. Bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable but a... More
