The gardens and grounds are beautiful. The wide, expansive porch is to die for. Antiques abound throughout. The lounge is very attractive with a well stocked bar and our bar tendress was very pleasant and helpful. In fact all of the staff was pleasant, friendly and courteous. Rooms are vintage but functional. Bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable but a... More

We ate there last Sat. for the prime rib buffet. The food was excellent, but did not include any beverages or desserts. I think it should have for the price of it. The hotel is an excellent historic place and the landscaping is excellent and well taken care of. They have many weddings here and dinner theaters available. Well known... More

Clean rooms and great staff. Maybe have a few rooms with tv as an option as well as a information guide in the rooms. Room service would be a plus also. Will stay there again when I am in the area....

Did not stay here...went w friends for dinner. Dining room elegant, server was pleasant and efficient. Dinner was wonderful...I had a sea food platter with shrimp, clams and scallops.. Scallops are difficult to prepare properly and these were done to perfection...perhaps the best I have ever had dessert tray had a piece of lemon mango cheesecake (that hubby and I... More

On the spur of the moment on a Saturday my wife and I decided to drive up and go to the dinner theater upon arriving we were so impressed by the hotel and the surrounding property that we decided to see if we could get a room. As luck would have it we got the last double room and also... More

Visited riverside inn whilst travelling through pennsylvania. Impressive building with beautiful decor. Friendly , helpful efficient staff. Varied menu or all you can eat Buffett at a very reasonable price. As a Brit ifound this to be a much better way to eat in the USA as you have some control of portion sizes and therefore less wastage. However, the... More

Was out for a ride, I remember coming here for a family function. We arrived it was at 17:00, questioned if it was open. We were seated, the only ones. The buffet was fresh. Everything was just set out. The staff was the best. I would recommend this buffet to anyone. The prime rib was tender.

My wife and I attended a wedding here so stayed for two nights since the lodging options in the area are limited and everything wedding was right here. As other reviewers have said the hotel makes no attempt to be modern, rather trying to recreate an early 1900's experience. In that they succeed nicely. Consider that the building is over... More

Relaxing, elegance from days gone by. Comfy beds and a delicious complimentary breakfast buffet. This 131 year old gem is full of neat antiques, and the grounds are lovely. Does it have all the bells and whistles of a modern chain hotel--no--it has something better--charm and character! Rooms are a bit small, and bathroom is clean, with good water pressure,... More

Interesting varied menu. I had beer cheese soup and Cuban sandwich. Soup was excellent sandwich soso. They used ciabatta roll for sandwich and it would have been much better on a more traditional bread. Friend had shrimp mac and cheese and said shrimp was good but pasta wasn't cooked enough. Nice historic location
