Spent a wonderful several days at Martinville Streamside Cottages. Molly (the owner) and her family were so accommodating, they couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. The morning after we arrived a child's riding toy "magically appeared" for my 2 year old grandson! The cabin (Love Shack) was clean, comfortable and well stocked. If you didn't have something...

Excellent cottage. We were looking for a quiet cottage in the Poconos for a weekend get-away, not too far from the Delaware Water Gap. This place was perfect (rustic enough but still clean and pretty modern)! The owners were very friendly, and this was really an ideal spot (we actually did not know what to expect since we found the...

My boyfriend and I booked the Love Shack back in June and boy oh boy was it fantastic. The worst part of our trip was getting slightly lost getting there. But we ended up calling up the place and they knew exactly where we were and how to get us to their lovely cabin. Once we entered the place, we...

We were looking for a weekend getaway when we came across Martinsville cottages. Molly was very nice we stayed at the love shack it was very comfortable and cozy. We found the cottage pretty clean the only thing is that the water was brownish and it smelled like rust. I suggest you bring bottled water to drink and brush your...

We were hoping for a homey little cottage in the Poconos and we got a ratty cottage instead. Great location but not worth the money. The women who run the place aren't very friendly or helpful/knowledgeable about the area. I felt like I was doing them a favor by staying there. Pros: Clean, nicely decorated for the holiday season, lots...

My husband and I scheduled several months in advance to stay at the tree top cottage for valentines weekend at $175 per night. When we arrived my husband went inside to check in, only to find out that the owners write down everyone's credit card number and leave the papers out on a folding table that any can see or...

We went at xmas time . Our place was clean and everything was in working order. Our friends in other cabins had some broken furniture but liked the place none the less.We could have used some more pans and a toaster for making breakfast but survived without it. It was quiet most of the time with the exception of xmas morning...

We stayed in the garden cottage. We brought our dog which was the deal maker. No one bothered us once. All the wood you can burn. Very relaxing with the sound of the stream flowing 24/7 right outside your door. A must stay!

Not the best experience. The Brook cottage smell like old clothing and it's humidity was too much. The water smell like it was rusty. ( Not safe. ) Too expensive for what we got. Furniture look like they got it from a dump site. Sorry to be rude. But we pay too much for what we got.

“This is on a main road. If you are a VERY light sleeper you might want one of the cottages set back in the woods.”

“Take a cover for the couch, spring water for drinking, liquid soap for the kitchen, paper towels, Kleenex, extra pillows for the bed if you want more than one, hair dryer, extra towels if you like more than one, shower mat, fire starter and kindling if you want to get a fire started, and eye shades cause its very bright in the cottage, especially with the broken blinds. Expect to pay more than it is worth. there are many other cottage/cabin businesses in the area-compare!”

“All the cottages offer something different. from 1-3 bedrooms. Some have wood burning fireplaces, gas fireplaces, some have wood burning stoves. All are set in a peaceful setting on a stream.”
