My friend and I stayed in this B&B April 29- May 2 for 3 nights We each had our own room. It was 82-88 degrees outside. My room was 80 degrees at 10:00 at night when I wanted to sleep. My friend's room was as hot. The owner, Chip, would not turn on the air-conditioning so that we would be...

The facts: When the guests arrived, the temperature was in the mid 70's during the day - we had heat on the day before. I even went back to the weather statistics to check if my memory was correct. The temperature was to go down to mid 60's the night they arrived. it was 70 at 5PM when they were...

I always stay at the Pennsbury Inn when I visit Longwood Gardens. The proprietors, Chip and Cheryl, are so thoughtful, kind and welcoming! As is their polite little dog Tucker! Cheryl has a knack of adding attention to details and you should see her garden out back! Chip is always available to help you with anything, like making dinner reservations,...

This was home away from home. I don't think I have ever been more comfortable in another B&B. The building is old (1714!) and full of slanted door frames, squeaky floor boards, and charm! Hosts Cheryl and Chip are real people. I stayed four nights and explored the Brandywine Valley sights but I just skimmed the surface. I will return.

Well, CaddyLady, we're so glad that you felt at home here as that's exactly what we try to achieve. I guess that you would believe that some people come back from dinner and as they come through the door, shout out "Mom, we're home" and I love it!!! We'll be happy to welcome you back, anytime!!

We needed a place to stay while visiting Longwood - I was put at ease with a phone call right away after booking our room and Chip offered his assistance right off the bat. Very comfortable historic home that was quiet and relaxing. Will stay again as Cheryl has put enormous effort into her gardens that were pretty much asleep...

My husband and I recently stayed for two nights in the Four Seasons room. As previous reviewers mentioned, there is a bit of both a dust and clutter thing going on at The PI. The bones of the place are lovely, but the inside felt like it reached it's peak in 1989. Other reviewers have couched their phrasing to include...

This ia actually from Chip G. It is always interesting that when we see a review like this one – the guests don’t think to discuss their concerns, with us while we can actually do something to make their stay more comfortable. We had a leak in that bathroom. We think we fixed it but till we had a couple...

Chose the John Marshall Room :: Comfy Queen Bed :: Included Wi-Fi :: Flat Screen Color Cable TV :: Electric Fireplace adds a nice touch of both heat and "flames" :: Always a nice variety of guests during their flexible breakfast time :: Their Havanese (Bichon) dog, Tucker will respond eagerly to guest-initiated attention :: Plenty of Brochures and Activity...

We had a lovely time staying with Chip and Cheryl in their rambling, charming, historic bnb. The breakfast was fabulous, the gardens and ponds were gorgeous and Tucker, the household dog, loved a good tummy rub. We'll be back, for sure. Laurie Young and David Lee

We stayed here on our wedding night and I cannot say enough awesome things about this place. We stayed in the Wintertur room and it was stunning. There is a huge window overlooking the garden and I loved sitting on the couch in front of it looking at the beautiful garden and watching all the butterflies, hummingbirds, and various song...

I'm so sorry that I didn't see this sooner. What an upper, having my garden compared to Longwood Gardens and I don't have the staff and volunteers, they have! Seriously though, I really appreciate your praise of the work I love to do. I love doing special things for guests, especially for those who are beginning a new life together....

Hospitality abounds with a hearty greeting and initial orientation tour from our host and his trusty companion dog Tucker. The 4 acres of gardens with ponds , flowers and relaxation spits with well situated chairs for contemplation of the surroundings makes this a most enjoyable place to stay. Nearby historical Longwood Gardens is unrivaled for a delightful and absorbing visit...

We are so glad that the Pennsbury Inn is an original Quaker homestead & part of a William Penn land grant. so it fit right in with your "Quaker" trip. Delighted that you enjoyed your stay here and the incomparable Longwood Gardens

The owners are wonderful people, property could definitely use some updating. The sleep number bed in the room was old and didn't work. Was either hard as a rock or slept in a soft taco- not comfortable and prevented sleep. Lots of cobwebs on the side of the house outside at the front door on porch when you first walk...

Golly Gee, I'm not sure where to start. I'm glad that you liked Chip and I, at least. There's an old saying that "you can't please all of the people all of the time" and I guess this proves it. I'm sorry that you didn't ask for help with the bed as it's quirky, but does work. Thank you for...
