I couldn't find Stonewall Tavern in the restaurant section, so I'm writing the review here even tho we didn't stay at Tara's. We went in thru the front doors and wandered around a little looking for the restaurant. The public areas of the Inn are really pretty. There's a bar/pub on the main level as well as a room they...

Our room was the "Rhett Butler" suite. It consisted of a hodge podge of trinkets and poorly constructed furniture. The bathroom looked as if it was added circa. 1980 and no attempt at repairs or upkeep had been attempted since that time. The tile and fixtures rarely matching and never of decent quality. The cleaning solution the staff would use...

As part of a bus trip to Pennsylvania we stayed our last night at Tara. It was truly a unique experience. Upon arrival two young employees dressed in period costumes showed us a short film of the history of Tara. Then our group of 46 was divided into two smaller groups for a tour of the house. It is comprised...

Just returned from Tara.. what a relaxing stay. Really wishing we stayed 2 nights instead of 1. We stayed in the Magnolia Sweet Blossom room and it was fantastic. Beautiful and comfy canopy bed and awesome jet tub! The only negative could be that there is some traffic noise cause the room is located at the front of the house,...

My husband and I stayed in Belle's Boudoir, which was amazing! The hotel itself is worth the stay however the food is recycled. For example, the champagne coolie we had at lunch time was the "peach bellini" we had at dinner time and coincidentally the grapefruit slice for breakfast. We won't be back.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your accommodations at Tara, however, I'm confused regarding your comments on our food. I'm not sure what items you are referring too at lunch time, since we don't serve lunch? I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you. Please contact me at your convenience, 800-782-2803. Thank you and I look forward to...

My husband and I recently spent a couple of days at Tara and absolutely loved it!! Everyone was so kind, the gardens breathtaking, food and service were first class and we loved exploring all of the different rooms and Gone with the Wind memorabilia. They had a well problem while we were there, but quickly offered us a room at...

Our Dinner in Stonewall Tavern was on point in every way Debby our server was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive the entire meal. Our glasses never went empty and her kind and friendly demeanor was great customer service. The surf and turf was to die for and melted in our mouths. We had planned to stay the night but they...

My niece was married at Tara this weekend and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cheese plate, champagne and a lovely letter from the Inn (In addition to the goodies bag left by the bride and her family). it was terribly HOT the entire weekend and I would definitely...

We stayed at Tara Inn from 06/14/16 to 06/16/16 to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary. We were greeted with champagne, fresh fruit and cheese. We stayed in Katie O'Hare's room which we chose due to the balcony where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning after having it delivered to our room. The balcony was in need of stain but the...
