I have been traveling to Pennsylvania for business at least twice a year for 15 years. This hotel charged us a $50 "rock star"deposit,against room damage,which i have never had in 50 years of business travel.I was told it would be refunded when we left,and was told at checkout it was,that was a bald faced lie,instead I was charged a second $50! After 21 days I finally managed to get all my money back. I have spoken to 4 different employees ,none of which solved my problem, and have asked for Mr Patel (owner/manager?)to call,no reply. Check all your paperwork before you check out,and get copies. be prepared for lackadaisical service at best and a scam at worst ,I will never stay at a Rodeway again.

I stayed a night here while passing through. I found the room better than expected, clean and comfortable. However there is a scene here on the property and in the common grounds that had me feeling uncomfortable. People were loitering and looked intoxicated - I dont know if they are housing some homeless but it had a vibe that should be considered if someone stays here. I disagree with other reviewers on the state of the room or property itself. It was new and clean in the room itself, average in the common areas - I give an average given the 'scene' here. Staff were friendly at check in. Quiet though close to highway- you'll just hear the people in the hotel and some of the activity outside. Window opened for some fresh air.

The room had a comfortable bed and was clean. AC adjustments did not work but room cool. First outlet to right of desk did not charge my cell phone, one at base of lamp did. No coffee machine or lobby coffee. Probably should be a Never Event in modern American road trips. On site DDonuts priced pretty high. Walked across street to gas station which had good stuff. Pool noted on flat screen as heated. Seemed quite a lot cooler than room temperature. Hallway had minor odor. Ample parking with ready access to interstate. Treadmill worked well. Appreciated rack of brochures of nearby attractions. And the people we met all seemed friendly.

My husband and I booked this for a simple stay after hiking Bushkill Falls. We knew that for the price it wouldn’t be great, but we did NOT expect to feel so unsafe. Immediately after pulling in we saw several teenagers dealing/using drugs in the parking lot. We decided to give it a shot anyway since we already paid. Walking to our room, we saw several holes in the glass in the hallways (rocks? bullets? not sure). Then we get to our room and there is a huge party taking place in the room next to us. Extremely loud music and screaming at 5pm. We heard them talking about a party bus coming at 6 and knew it was time to go. To top it off, we opened the window curtain and directly outside the window was a group of homeless men huddled together smoking. We checked out ten minutes after checking in. Absolutely awful and felt so sketchy and unsafe, which is odd because 2 minutes away we found a beautiful safe hotel for a similar price.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. The pictures that were advertised did not look like our room. There was a stain on the ceiling (I’m assuming water damage) stain on the bed headboard. Smelled like cigarettes in the room although we were in a non smoking room. Spiders greeted us in the hallway, the carpet smelled. We came in late, around 10 and the lady at the desk was very nice but our room was far from it. Very disappointed. I guess you get what you pay for. But for just a little more you could go to a better hotel down the street. I thought the room was very bad and we only stayed one night in the hotel because I felt so uncomfortable. We stayed last week and we’ve been trying to get a refund for the rest of our stay ever since. It’s like like pulling teeth. Mind you, we ordered the hotel through the hopper app and they’ve been trying to get through to the manager but apparently the manager has not been in the building. That’s a bad business if you can’t contact your manager for something like this. FOR MORE THEN A WEEK! Highly dissatisfied and disappointed.

You don't have high expectations from Rodeway to begin with, but this one did not clear the bar. We were traveling across PA on I-80 in a rainstorm to get to NYC and my wife called the hotel to make a reservation. It was difficult for her to make a reservation but she managed. When we got to Stroudsburg we got off I-80 to look for the hotel. Our GPS gave us a number of goofy responses when we punched in the address. We were directed to a residence at one point, and got a photo of a Clarion Inn at another. Finally, we found a Gulf Oil gas station that appeared to be the address. We went inside and asked about a Rodeway Inn. Neither cashier inside knew where the Rodeway Inn was! So we called asking the motel, whose front desk clerk refused to give us the address, instead giving us directions to go east on I-80 and get off at Exit 310 and the motel would be right there. We ended up in New Jersey! We came back and got off at the same exit we had gotten on and found a Clarion Inn with a small sign on it stating it was also a Rodeway Inn. It was next to the Gulf station. We were offered a free cancellation by the desk clerk, which we foolishly rejected having driven most of the day and spent an awful night. Very noisy, kids running in the hall, dogs barking, not a coat hook in the room to hang something on and a very slippery bathtub. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at Rodeway. This one was adding a Dunkin Donuts to its service.

Booked my reservation on line for two nights arrived earlier than expected and was allowed a early check-in. The young man at the desk Amash? Was very courteous, professional and helpful. The room and all facilities were clean and useful. Was great to be able to wash my clothes after hiking for a week.The rate was great too so I highly recommend this place .

We stayed here Thanksgiving night and the state of this hotel was unacceptable! It was just not clean! There were pubes all over the bathroom, and the microwave reeked of Indian food. Clearly hasn’t been cleaned since it was renovated last year. Whoever is running this place has just let it go. Stay somewhere else if you can afford it, so you don’t catch a disease. I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. This Rhodeway Inn has 0 standards.

I made this reservation a month in advance and stated i had a cat under comments. The only reason i picked this place, despite the horrid reviews, was the ad stated "dog/pet friendly."When i arrived Oct. 11, 2021, the desk man told me they dont accept pets. They changed their policy. They were sorry. Too bad. Apparently, they thought the best time to let me know of this, ah, policy change, was when i arrived. They said they sent an e mail that morning, but with getting ready for a 5 day vacation, and travelling by car with a cat, checking e mails wasnt on my list. So at 4pm, i had to find another place that accepted cats. I paid twice as much as my original reservation for a trip to celebrate my 76th birthday. They were insulted by my anger, poor dears. Desk man told me to leave. Trolley tour reservation lady stuck her tongue out at me. I cursed a lot. May my ghost curse both their birthdays.

This place is DISGUSTING!!! They had teens dealing drugs outside. Bugs in the rooms. Leaks all over. Just plain dirty! Staff was rude and unhelpful! And what they also fail to tell you is that they have 2 sides to the hotel, one a very little bit better then the other. Definitely felt “catfished” the pictures look NOTHING like the rooms here!!!
