The building dates from the mid-19th century, perhaps 1853, so it is old, but the rooms have been updated in keeping with the sense of the building. We have stayed here several times, and this time in suite 301, which features a four-poster bed in a room with pocket doors so guests could seal off the room if desired, and...

The wife and I stopped in while vacationing. Enjoyed the different musicians playing as well as the singer! Very good atmosphere. We also had dinner. The selection was limited but adequate. I didn't notice any handicap accessible entry. My wife did have a difficult time handling all the stairs. But nevertheless she enjoyed herself. This would be a place we...

We went on a Thursday for the Jazz jam session. We had a couple of drinks that were reasonably priced. We did not have any food. The music was terrific! After the house Trio played a set, all comers were invited to the stage and the audience was treated to about 10 t o 12 guest artists who took turns...

Sweet history ridden Spot. If only the walls could talk. Immerse your soul in good music and good vibes. Nice place to stzy to explore and hike the bearby AT steller views. This was simply delightful in every way! The staff was both efficient and entertaining, the room and the building is full of charm, and the music was amazing! We stayed for one night on our way from Baltimore to NYC and we really can't wait to come back. Next time, we plan to bring friends and family with us!!

We actually do not sleep over here. We go for the music. Our waitress, Jenna, is always amazing. Skip Wilkins, piano; Tony Marino, bass; Walt Bibinger, guitar were awesome together. Food was good with the exception of shrimp scampi, way to much lemon. You want a nice night out listening to music go here.

We,d never been to the Deer Head Inn before but we'll be back! Everyone was so friendly - bartender Jen, server Erica, etc. Great place with a lot of history and a great old style room - Bill Charlap was the draw for us! Wonderful well prepared dinner (French chicken breast for me, salmon for my constant dining companion) and...

This is a a true local treasure. The Deer Head has been running live jazz for 50 years. the food is great and the ambiance wonderful. Not to be missed on a visit to the Poconos. A favorite local hangout. Its a club with some rooms available, not a hotel per se.

We went for the music and there is a 10.00 per person charge for that. No discount if you ordered dinner, which was a disappointment. Waitress was okay, but not as attentive as she should have been. Not a lot of choices, very limited entree menu and the wine prices were very high. My crab cakes were okay, but I...
