We were excited because the reviews were good. You can "pick your own spot" That was something we have never done before. Now I know why. If you pick a spot with trees they scratch your RV because they are not maintained or trimmed (happened to 2 spots we tried). We are new to RVing. They pool rules due to COVID were excessive. We stayed at a nearby campground weeks before and the rules were much different. The Timothy Lake pool closed at 5 PM because they didn't have staff. It was only open for 45 minutes per hour to then "sanitize" Are they chlorinating the pool every hour? It was 90 degrees out! Many restrooms were closed (again different at another Campground nearby). Why not close every other stall like they do at National Parks and restaurants. So if you needed a rest room you had better parked near one. The cable/internet was terrible. The staff was rude. The store was closed (Again, a nearby campground had an open store). The only bright spot was the other campers. They were friendly and kind. So very nice. Sadly, I would not go back.

Some minor upgrades would make this a 5 star rating for us.
Overall its a nice park and we will return.
Large, clean spots and great water pressure to the sites are a huge plus.
Restrooms could use some updates

Jan 3rd to Jan 6th (only because the snow chased us home a day early lol). We had a Great visit here at Timothy Lake Campground South.
After searching for a Pocono adventure we landed here for almost a week. The Campground was nothing like some of the reviews we saw out there.
It was 100% clean every single time we used any of the restrooms, the counter women was friendly n helpful every time, the Campground in and of itself was large with different types of sites you can choose from for your stay, yeah there were places needing some work but think of it this way it WAS NOT a trash hole and do you have everything looking "perfect and spotless" at your home 24/7,it was quiet, (yes we heard a dog bark, but ya know what if I was a dog and someone was out there having a conversation in my front yard I'd bark too. Lol. It wasn't constant and quieted right down and any of the dogs we saw there were leashed and well behaved. There was one cat zipping through the neighborhood, but that seems to be a thing in campgrounds any more people can't be responsible for their pets so they put them out in places like these. Sad but happens more then we know. Needless to say that one cat did not cause any issues. It was well lit for the restrooms and office area and darker throughout as it should be( your camping and not there to see all the lights of home). We had heated bathrooms and always hot water, the water sewer n electric was all there and working, clean site with fire ring and BBQ grill. I'd have to give them a 10 out of 10.
We would definitely go back.

We came up for a weekend 10 days after the big snowstorm and could not get to our site because plowing had not been completed. The site was plowed around the perimeter and all of the cabins were plowed out. When I spoke to the manager I was told that the snow was so much that they couldn't clear it all. When I mentioned that we called before we came up I was told they didn't know it wasn't plowed. I don't know how that's possible but after five excuses I kind of gave up. I am an annual member and am extremely disappointed that I did not have access to my site as I should have. Again we arrived 10 days after the heavy snow and the roads were not plowed so that we could get it. I called 5 days later and the roads had still not been cleared. We did get in eventually but the plowing was poor at best and we could only get in to one side of the site. (not the side we park on). The management of the campground has gone down since the new manger has arrived. We pay a lot of money to be there and they can't plow or fix pot holes. Not sure if we are going to stick around for another season. Most of the staff is good but this new manager does not seem to understand who the customer is. Many annuals left in May.

Our stay at the resort was great. We found a really great site that was shaded and a good size for our TT. Site was clean, campground well maintained. The pool could use a daily cleaning, and some of the furniture was broken. They should take the chairs from the north since their pool is broken. We literally had to bring our own chairs to the pool, which wasn't that big of a deal. This campground has so much potential that we will definitely be back. We could tell that they are trying to improve things here. We definitely enjoyed how peaceful our stay was overall!

This is less than 2 hours from our house and the first trip to Timothy Lake South. We did not check out north. The roads are paved in the park! Yes, finally a campsite without dust and dirt. Our site was quite roomy and it seemed most of the lots had a natural barrier between the sites. Full time mobile homes/cabins are not in between campsites like other TT parks. This was so nice. We want to share traveling with other RV'ers. Staff was pleasant and security answered the phone quickly for answers. Quiet park in a good location.

My wife and I are new members of Thousand Trails, and this was our first stay: if just for one night. Shortly after making the reservation, I started receiving "can't wait to see you/we're looking forward to your upcoming visit" emails which are a nice touch, albeit auto generated. We arrived on Memorial Day and the reception was excellent. After being reminded that all of their sites are full-hookups, I was told to go pick my site with many pull-thru sites available. After a brief recon, I found a perfect shaded site with ample room for my 40' coach and car in tow. The campground is laid out well with excellent spacing between sites. We enjoyed our walk around the perimeter of the campground and wished we had more time to enjoy our bikes. Are there any downsides? Nothing is perfect. I'm sure the staff would agree that the main building which houses the camp store, lounge, and TT rep could use a facelift. My neighbor thought they should remove the poison ivy (come on, it's PA woods and you are "camping"). Last complaint is to the few disrespectful "guests" that didn't leave their sites better than they found them.
Bottom line: Beautiful campground near Bushkill Falls in the Poconos staffed by professionals.
I know every TT experience won't be like this, but I hope they all strive to be!

Park was exceptionally well maintained and there were an assortment of parking accommodations from open areas to covered wooded areas. The pool and common areas were all in good working order. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

We stopped here for a quick rest on our way back from visiting family. It was dark and after hours when we arrived. The road to the campground from the main road was very windy and narrow and tricky to navigate in the dark. It was also a little confusing to navigate the campground roads in the dark. We drove around to select a site that would be large enough for us to fit in and level enough for us to stay hooked up. It didn't take long before we found one and pulled in. The site hadn't been used for a while and we needed to spend some time looking for the dump drain. We packed up early morning before the sun came up, so we really didn't get to see much of the campground but the games area looked fun. It was suitable for what we needed - a place to stay hooked up and open late into the cold months. Plan to arrive in the daylight!

Staying in a cabin, is there internet and cable? If there is a fee can you connect from cabin.

So sorry I never answered. I did not see your message. We did not stay in a cabin so I do not know about cable. I do know the there is an area in the back of the camp store that you can hang out in and use their WI-FI. Streaming is spotty.
Answer from Linda R

We always go to South. It is quieter than North. A lot of partying goes on. One campground is at the bottom and the north is at the top of the hill on the same road. They also have more activities up at the North. There was an indoor lazy river up at the North, but due to problems they are taking it out. There is an outside pool, mini golf, and an arcade at the North too. The South has a pool and activities.
