The hotel was right on the water and gave great views of the lake. My kids loved to look out the huge windows in the room every morning and watch the boats go by. They also had black out curtains in each room and they worked perfectly, so no worries that the light would wake us up too early. The rooms were also impeccably clean and I am super picky with hotel cleanliness. I bring my own cleaning supplies and re-clean the bathrooms usually but all of my rags came out completely white! Even with one elevator being down, they went out of the way to mark off where an additional service elevator could be used by guests. We loved our stay here and it seems to be the perfect location to get to all the attractions we wanted to see. The childrens museum was five minutes up the hill, waldameer was 15 minutes down the road and a drive to pressure isle was only 20 minutes.

Staying at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel is like staying with good friends!
As we enter the hotel lobby we are always warmly welcomed back by the wonderful team consisting of Amy the VIP Ambassador and Kevin the Guest Services Supervisor. (see attached photo.)
Their kindness and willingness to make our stay pleasant is one of the main reasons my husband and I have continued to return to this hotel at least 3 to 5 times a year for the past six years. Amy has an absolutely amazing sense of anticipating our every travel need and goes out of her way to make sure our stay is very comfortable and pleasant as she sincerely says "my pleasure"!!! Kevin too is amazing and is always eager to assist us, along with Lillian who personally delivered room temperature bottled water to me one afternoon. Warm welcome-backs also came from Tom (Engineering), Shaun (Transportation), Bilijana (Housekeeping) and even Dan the Hotel's General Manager!!! It is rare to be welcomed back by a hotel General Manager!!
Although the hotel is going through a renovation, the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas have not been compromised.
During our stay this month, our reservation included the Club Lounge Level. The rooms on this floor, which include impressive views of the Bay and Marina, have been updated with a more modern fresh decor along with the extremely comfortable beds which is such a plus! The extra money we paid for this level was well worth it. In the Club Lounge, both breakfast and evening buffets are offered along with snacks and beverages 24 hours a day. At breakfast we were warmly greeted by Destiny (Club Lounge Server) who sets up and serves a wide selection of options including hot entrees, cold cereals, bagels, various types of breads, sweets, fresh fruits, almond and oat milks, juices, coffee and tea. During the evening, the hot buffet was offered with several other light options.
The hotel restaurant, Bayfront Grille, has a variety of well prepared menu selections. The grilled salmon and sirloin burger are at the top of our list. The servers, Jessica, Julie, and Amarie, are so friendly and efficient which added to our positive dining experience, as did the gorgeous view of the Bay. The restaurant also offers all-season patio dining which is absolutely amazing, along with the cozy fire pit.
In our opinion, it is the staff at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront hotel who make this Marriott Property a "crown jewel"!

As a Marriott Titanium member I rarely right a review but this stay was worth it. The young man who checked me in was super friendly, offered free parking and the ability to leave the car out front while I dropped my bag in my room. I took advantage of the bar/restaurant and had a great filet. The room was super clean, with a great view of the marina. The concierge area was nice and convenient as well. Frequent travelers...stay here. Its a great night's sleep.

We stayed at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront this weekend in conjunction with college move-in.
This is not our first visit to the hotel, but it will probably be our last. Honestly, it’s just not worth the price.
The best thing about the property is it’s location. Parking is sufficient, and this past weekend it was free, which was nice. The rooms are fairly typical, but the view is really spectacular if you are on a higher floor and facing the lake. It’s almost like you’re on a ship, as the water is right there.
Regarding our room, it was damp and smelled sort of musty. (It’s worth mentioning that we experienced the same dampness/mustiness during our prior stay at this hotel….so it’s not a one-off). The bathroom itself only gets one star give the strange setup. There are weird double doors for the entrance, with frosted glass panels and the light switch is located on the outside wall around the corner. This makes nighttime usage somewhat difficult (finding the light in the dark) and it wakes everyone else in the room up (because of the glass in the door). Also, the tub/shower has a curtain that has to be placed inside the tub when it’s being used. The tub is open on two sides (the side and the back) and the curtain provided is not big enough to keep all the water in. Also, the tub is narrow so the user constantly has to try to avoid touching the curtain while the shower is in use. It was also obvious that the bathroom had not been given a good cleaning in some time.
We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner one night. We made a reservation to ensure availability. The food was decent, but they appeared to be short on waitstaff and we had to ask to be assigned a server after waiting about 20 mins for someone to come by. There were several empty tables at the time but we waited nonetheless.
The hotel allows pets, which is fine,. However we had to alert management that one pet relieved themselves in the elevator and their owner did not think to clean up the mess. We took the stairs down from our room instead of the elevator with the poop.
For $450 a night under the Sheraton flag, I just expected more. I would be hard-pressed to return.

We chose this hotel as a staging point while waiting on a family medical issue. Had stayed before and was not overly impressed except for the view. HOWEVER this time we stayed with the promise of upgraded rooms, decor, etc..... Yes, the room had been redone, carpet, TV, table, bench, chair, bathroom remodeled. But it sort of ended there. Perspective guests take note, the BEDS were NOT replaced, or at least our wasn't. It was so bad, we could hardly believe it. While the bathroom is "nice" it is so small you cannot close the French doors unless you stand to one side. The pull chain for the shade is behind the table, I stand 5' 1", so I couldn't reach it without moving the table twice a day. That process was not thought out very well.
There was no "market" downstairs, only the restaurant.
We were greeted at the front entrance by a homeless person asking us for money. I'm not afraid of homeless people, I just didn't expect him to be the doorman, he was that close to the front. My husband stayed with our vehicle while I checked in since it didn't seem safe to leave the vehicle unattended. We had a three night reservation, and we paid for three nights in the parking garage at $15/per night. BUT the parking garage is left with the entrance/exit bars left up at all times, so we then had to unpack our entire van for safety reasons.
Long story, but short advice, find a better place to stay. Second time for us, but definitely our last.

Awesome freshly renovated hotel. Invited my family to stay at the Sheraton in Erie to experience the 2024 total solar eclipse. The front desk was accommodating and put us in three rooms side by side. The hotel is very very clean, freshly renovated furniture and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom looks remarkable with great attention to detail. Despite being completely booked the rooms and hotel were very quiet. The views of Lake Erie are spectacular. The staff from the concierge to all housekeeping and maintenance staff and front desk were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Location is perfect and an easy walk to the restaurants around the city. Convenient parking FTF or guests only is a plus. Did not get to experience the restaurant due to it being so full but the decor was very nice. Definitely bring the family the rooms are spectacular.

This was a nice location and hotel was very nice and clean, restaurant for breakfast was great, didn't try dinner. BUT hotel policies you need to watch out for:
1. Hotel didn't clean your room every day and you have to specifically ask for the room to be cleaned daily.
2. Hotel charges you $14 a day to park your own car either in the garage beside the hotel or on the street. This is a TOTAL ripoff. Garage is open to the public on the weekends.
3. Make sure you get a room facing the water. Great views and lots going on on the waterfront.
This location is right in the middle of everything on the waterfront and several restaurants are within walking distance.

The Sheraton Erie Bayfront is very nice for a quick overnight. We had a room overlooking Lake Erie, and had dinner in the restaurant. Dinner left a lot to be desired—ordered pasta with Chorizo, which was both more spicy than I like and way more meaty than it should have been. I couldn't find the pasta. However, I didn't expect much, as I have stayed at other Sheratons, and just don't think they have good chefs.
A sign in the elevator said that there was no housekeeping service unless you requested it. I know hotels are in trouble, and I'm pretty sure this is a money-saving strategy, rather than a Covid-prevention strategy. Covid is not spread by housekeepers cleaning your room and then leaving, especially if there's decent ventilation. I know hotels are hurting, but hotel workers are hurting even more. Please—let the housekeepers clean the rooms. I'm fine with no fresh towels if I stay more than one day, but I really feel for the people who clean the hotel rooms.

I took a while to write this review- we had booked a room months in advance for Beer on the Bay, a double queen room, club level.
The day before we get there my husband gets an email that the room had been destroyed beyond repair and that we needed to either switch to another room, a king with a roll out or change to a sister hotel. We decided to change to the king bed, club level.
The day of the event we noticed that the it started was 4pm, which was also the time check in began. I called ahead to the hotel and asked them because we were in town if it was possible to check in early and the gentlemen at the desk said basically no that the cleaning people make their own schedule and we would need to wait until 4. I then explained how we had rooms changed and that it would be really nice, because we were out of town if we could check in first- he said he would do what he could.
We got to the hotel at 3:30 and attempted to check in and they said that the room, again would not be ready until 4pm.
We ended up driving to the event and driving back and checking in, we get up to our room and the roll away is not in the room, which they had said they would make happen. So we call down to the main desk and they bring up a twin mattress.
The twin mattress was so uncomfortable in the middle of the night my sister ubered home.
The French doors to the bathroom would not close.
The sprinkler for the fire system was unfinished plaster all around it.
Breakfast at club level was a joke, The potatoes were mealy and on par with the inside of a gym mat.
At checkout they asked how our stay was and My husband just wanting to get the hell out of there said good and I said… well actually no and told them of our stay and the gentleman just stood there and asked if he needed to make his manager aware… which seemed pointless after the fact.
500.00 room from hell.
The day before we get there my husband gets an email that the room had been destroyed beyond repair and that we needed to either switch to another room, a king with a roll out or change to a sister hotel. We decided to change to the king bed, club level.
The day of the event we noticed that the it started was 4pm, which was also the time check in began. I called ahead to the hotel and asked them because we were in town if it was possible to check in early and the gentlemen at the desk said basically no that the cleaning people make their own schedule and we would need to wait until 4. I then explained how we had rooms changed and that it would be really nice, because we were out of town if we could check in first- he said he would do what he could.
We got to the hotel at 3:30 and attempted to check in and they said that the room, again would not be ready until 4pm.
We ended up driving to the event and driving back and checking in, we get up to our room and the roll away is not in the room, which they had said they would make happen. So we call down to the main desk and they bring up a twin mattress.
The twin mattress was so uncomfortable in the middle of the night my sister ubered home.
The French doors to the bathroom would not close.
The sprinkler for the fire system was unfinished plaster all around it.
Breakfast at club level was a joke, The potatoes were mealy and on par with the inside of a gym mat.
At checkout they asked how our stay was and My husband just wanting to get the hell out of there said good and I said… well actually no and told them of our stay and the gentleman just stood there and asked if he needed to make his manager aware… which seemed pointless after the fact.
500.00 room from hell.

Hotel recently completely remodeled. Decor, furnishings and room all very upscale and tastefully done. As always, the water views are outstanding. And a special nod to Amy W. who provided invaluable assistance in getting us checked in. I had booked on a third party website (my fault) and when I checked in the front desk could not find the reservation. Long story short Amy took control, was able to get my original third party reservation cancelled with full refund and then booked me in for a rate thar was 25% less than my original reservation. Best customer service I can remember getting in a long time.

Hello, we do not have Jacuzzi's in the rooms, but we have a Spa Tub in our indoor pool area that our guests can use.
