Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This room looked like a winner from the get-go. The decor was good, the amenities in room were above par, There was a sitting area space with a sofa that, at first, looked great, and the bed area in rear of room had the tv on wall across from it. Here was the problem, the bed was around 6 inches from the ac/heating unit, If I can post them here I will. Anyway, at night the cold area blew directly onto covers and was so close that it chilled the whole bed. So we wound up turning unit off but a good nights sleep was gone by this time. This unit was also an older unit and noisy. You could see the empty square in it where they took the controls out of it to retrofit it to wall thermostat. Now the shame was this could have been avoided if they put the bed where the sofa was and the sofa where the bed was. Now you'd have a sitting room in rear of room and the bed is in center of room away from ac/heat unit and this means less direct hot or cold air and noise might be lower because you are away from it. This was really a shame because everything else was spot on. Breakfast the next day was very good. Choice of eggs and bacon, cereal, waffles, orange juice or apple juice, and so on. I would have loved to have given this a really good review but, in good faith, if you are not going to get a good nights sleep in room then it is a bad room regardless of all other things.

Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. It was perfect in every way. We had a handicap room and, even though we are not handicapped, we are elderly and the hand holds and rails in the shower were especially beneficial. If we travel to the area again we will certainly book this facility,

We stayed for one night. We were welcomed by a very pleasant and efficient young lady. (I wish I had remembered here name!) The lobby, breakfast area, pool, and fitness rooms were all very clean. Our room, on the first floor, was spacious and also clean. The bed was comfortable. My only "complaint", if I had to give one, was that we could hear the people talking in the next room. The breakfast was very good. Although it was somewhat limited due to Covid restrictions, there was a good selection...warm pre-packaged egg/cheese buscuits, pancakes, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee. The price we paid was comparable to other places we have stayed in the area, and this location was definitely better than a couple of other places we have stayed in Erie.

The perfect stay in Erie. Staring with location, its perfect being right off the highway / peach st / splash lagoon etc. Central to everything. You feel very safe and secure at this location even feel safe with your vehicle outside at night. The location is very clean both inside and out. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is included, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast, french toast, danishes , yogurt, coffee , tea, juices, milk and chocolate milk. Pool is nice and clean with a safe feeling area with great hrs. I dealt with 2 ladies at the front desk as it was a two night stay and the customer service was outstanding. Thank you to both.

Their website lists all these COVID measures in place and they were Not when we stayed last night! No masks on staff, no barrier when checking in/out, no individually wrapped items at breakfast. Room was comfy though and slept well. Bathroom was Tiny for a King bed room in 3rd floor!

We stayed at this Wingate Inn for the first time in a long time. We used to stay here a lot but found it to be noisy with sport teams and their families and the facilities were in need of a renovation. This stay was much better, the facility has been remodeled , was cleaner and there were no sport teams when we were there. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a HC accessible room. It was clean and roomy. The grab bars were great for stability. I just wish it would have had 2 soft chairs to sit in or a sofa bed area for more comfort in the evenings. Despite the hotel being so close to I-90 we heard very little highway noise. And the room was right off of the elevator and we did not hear it either. The staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

We often stay at Wyndham motels due to their rewards program. They are pretty reliable for cleanliness, comfortable beds, breakfast and price. The night we stayed at Wingate by Wyndham, about a foot of snow fell. The next morning we found our car shoveled out and the snow brushed off. The nice woman at the front desk said they had a wonderful maintenance person who did that. What a gift for weary travelers!

Check in was fast and easy, I loved that in was able to check in online before arriving and it allowed for a smoother transaction when arriving to the hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and kind when arriving and respected my privacy. Facilities were great, clean, and updated. As well as the guest room. Convenient location, a couple miles down the way from the mall and plenty of restaurants. I had a great and comfortable stay and would definitely return.

The heat did not work in our room and the best we got was two extra blankets (1 per bed) and $50 off our stay. With 30 degree temperatures outside, this was not acceptable. We stayed at Wingate Wyndham in Erie for 2 nights (Sun & Mon night) with our two children ages 7 and 2. The person who checked us in was very nice. Our room was clean. Our mini-fridge didn't work, but after a call to the front desk it was replaced immediately with a working one. The pool was a great temperature, so warm! My kids loved it. Hotel is off I-90 close to restaurants and shops. About 15 minutes from Presque Isle and Waldameer amusement park. Did not hear much traffic off highway, only occasionally and it did not disturb us. Hotel was nice and quiet during our stay. It might be that we stayed on a Sun & Mon (rather than a Friday) or that it was just a slower time, but no disturbing noises at night which was nice. Everyone was friendly & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh with good selections. We were pleased with our stay here for a mini family vacation.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. We weren't going to Splash Lagoon, but I'm sure you could call the hotel and ask. Splash Lagoon is very close to the hotel - you could probably walk there easily. The hotel is very nice ... it's always our first choice when we visit Erie.
Our fabulous property was built in 2007 and has received TLC from our fabulous Maintenance guru, George Hughes, ever since! Thanks so much for asking - we'd LOVE to show you how wonderful and beautiful our home away from home is!!!
