My husband and I stayed a week in Building 2 on the 4th floor. Our room viewed the train tracks. As all of the other reviews state, the trains are loud...all night. However, the open floor plan, roominess of our suite, access to the indoor pool and fitness center, and affordability of our week’s stay through RCI was worth it! We will definitely be back! Currently, renovations are being done in Building 3. The pool, fitness center, game room and snacks are in Building 1. To go from Building 1 to Building 2, you must go outside and walk around the buildings. WiFi was excellent. TV channels were good. Very comfortable beds and nice towels and linens.
These units are roomy, well built. The location is exceptional for all the Hershey attractions. It is directly next to busy train tracks (which we loved). Staff has always been great. We usually go in the winter for a getaway and have always had a fireplace. Found out some units don't have them. But still nice.
Just a place we love o go to when we vacation. It is fully furnished in the kitchen. We even borrowed a crock pot from the office to use while we were there. Very relaxing and cozy! It has a fireplace and a hot tub in the room.
We have been owners with Blue Green for over 10 years. This was our second time staying at Suites at Hershey. We read the "other notes" that says "Be advised train operates near the resort and some noise can be expected". The train operates at ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT - some noise is an understatement. Why the train operator feels the need to blow the whistle between 12-6am is unknown. Do not stay at this property if you are a light sleeper or suffer from panic attacks that are caused by noise triggers. You will not sleep. At checkin we were greeted by a very friendly staff (Scott is a tad goofy but means well and in COVID times was nice to have a laugh with - Kathy kept him in check ... lol! ). We were also told there was construction starting the next morning (this would have been nice to know prior to arrival time) and building 3 was closing. We were assigned to Building 2. Our first room had the smell of cigarette smoke. We thought it was maybe someone outside the building and the smell was traveling up. No someone had put cigarette butts in the toilet. When we called the front desk Scott was very concerned and insisted we change rooms which we did. Scott even brought us the key and the luggage rack for us to move our things with. Our new room looked exactly like the first. And the first thing we did was check the toilets!! The accommodations were very kept. I did not feel uneasy about the sanitizing of the room with COVID. The beds are very comfortable. The shower pressure is a bit lacking but not intolerable. However the room is never quiet. Theres an ice maker running. A click here for whatever reason a swish of air for whatever reason - then you pair that with noisy hallways and trains it was frustrating. The red chairs in the rooms are some of the most uncomfortable chairs ever. I found sitting on a pillow on the floor more comfortable or the dining room chairs were more comfortable than the red ones. When we checked in we were emailed a welcome packet. Lots of great information in there. On page 4 it has "Quiet Hours from 11pm to 8 am" this does not apply to construction. There were trucks delivering materials and storage bins at 6 am. Doesn't make for good sleeping especially with the trains added in. Lucky for us we checked out on the 2nd day of construction. And while the check in staff was chipper and easy going the checkout staff not so much. I did not feel comfortable leaving my used keys in a bowl. And when I tried to discuss my concern of the early morning construction noise his response was "Safe travels". Between trains, construction and that guys lack of service attitude it didn't leave a good feeling with this owner! Would I recommend this Resort? Yes with caution. Please if you have sound sensitivity do not stay here. Call the resort before your stay, ask a lot of questions about whats open (especially during COVID ), what's nearby, construction, restaurants (do not eat at JoJo's Pizza in Hershey - thats a whole other review). Pack a bathing suit regardless. I called the Thursday before arrival and was told all amenities were closed. At checkin we were told the pool was opening the next morning. The Outlets are a great variety of stores. The Dunkin Donuts nearby has a very narrow drive thru but was a typical DD. We were happy to get a quick getaway. It wasn't as relaxing as hoped but good times were had by all.…
The resort was a easy 3hr car ride from our home. The pool and gym were closed because of Covid but we were happy to be in a safe bubble in a clean and beautiful location. We bought games with us watched movies and had nice meals together.
