Situated a 20 minute walk from the 'main' area of Jīnghóng but very close indeed to the bus station to get around to other parts of Xishuangbanna. Clean rooms, nice beds, hot water took a while to turn on, some English speaking staff. Very comfortable to leave possessions here if you leave for a few days trekking etc. Exactly what...

This is a typical Hi hostel: standard beds, wifi, many tours on offer and a communal area. Pluses are the big garden were you can nicely chill in the sun. And they have a very nice, cute dog. It is a little bit outside the city center, about a 15 minute walk.

good location with plenty of places to eat nearby. Efficient booking and information from reception. Small garden with wifi, wifi does not work well and often not at all in rooms. Couple with baby running hostel are not very friendly. I stayed in double room which was ok but nothing special. Believe dorms are worse.

We came here because of the recommendation on lonely planet. We were really disappointed. The beds had literally no mattresses, only a thin blanket. The room was moldy and the bathroom weren't clean. We stayed at much better youth hostels in china with the same price.

The hostel was reasonably priced and well located but is in need of a bit of TLC. The rooms were clean but tired and were starting to verge on the bedraggled stage. We'd stayed in other places in China for less that were far nicer. That said, Jinghong as a tourist destination is more expensive and the hostel is pretty...

This place needs an overhaul. While it is cheap and represents reasonable value for money, the rooms are bare, neglected and the bathrooms were not clean when we stayed. The laoban was surly, and seems to find dealing with guests extremely bothersome. Other staff were sweet, but ineffectual. There are other, better options in Jinghong: use them instead.

I've been there with my boyfriend in november. A building was under construction, so we woke up everyday at 8:00. Nevermind, it's not their fault. Their fault was that they are kind of lazy, I felt like they were making a fool of us sometimes, and room (private one) was very old, it began even t have mushrooms on the...

This is a fun hostel with all the needed services. We stayed in a private, double room. Found it very spacious and comfortable. Though simple. The hostel had useful services, such as laundry, internet, and bicycle rental. Location is pretty good for walking around the small city of Jinghong. I'd recommend the place, and I'd probably stay there again.

Manytrees is one of the many YHA youth hostels in China. It will probably be the first guest house you stay in after crossing the border from Laos. Most youth hostels in China are quite good. But this one was disappointing. First problem was the fact that a new building is being built right opposite, blocking the sun and making...

We have a very bad experience with the Many Trees Hostel in Jinghong. We made a booking there a few days ago. When we arrived, they said they didn't receive the booking. And they said it the fault of the YHA China website. If you put your hostel on a site for booking, people expect you to look at that...
