Hotel Maracuya is centrally located in the heart of modern downtown Managua. The surroundings are very secure allowing guests to explore at any time taking normal safety precautions. We are just a short walk, bus or taxi ride from all major national sights, markets, and transportation terminal and less than 10 minutes you can walk to the MetroCentro Shopping center, cinemas, bars and restaurants.

Basic nice place

The Rooms are pretty basics and you have to pay for the air conditioning that sounds strange. The service overall is good, the support you and clean up the room in a good way. The view from the hill is amazing and you can enjoy it from the terrace during the breakfast. I would suggest

Will rip you off

I booked with maracuya through hostel world after being stuck at the Managua airport for ten hours. In my delirium.at the airport, I accidently booked the wrong night and thus when I arrived at the hostel, they did not have a room available the night I was looking for. Disappointenly, they threatened to charge my card half the cost of the room despite having opted for the "flexible booking" option. After I discussed the situation with the woman at the desk, she assured me I would not be getting charged and not to worry. Two days later, they charged my card even though I never stayed there and they promised to cancel my booking. I advice you go across the street to the salt water hostel. It is beautiful and affordable and the owner is gracious and welcoming. Hotel maracuya is a ripoff!…

One to avoid

Let's just say there's better places out there. This one in particular was not the greatest. The heat was unbearable and the fan wasn't helpful either. Not exactly the best experience. You're better off avoiding this place altogether. Try Mansión Teodolinda o Casa Naranja, or better yet, avoid going to Nicaragua entirely. It's not worth it.

Okay place.

Our room was clean and had a great view overlooking the town. Nice to sit on the stoop and have your morning coffee. Only real issue was that the wifi was down for both nights we were there. Didn't seem to be a priority to fix. Beyond that I would recommend to any budget traveller.

Great hotel!

Don't listen to the haters - this was a wonderful and cute hotel. Our room opened right onto the terrace, offering a great view of the city and a beautiful place to hang out. The free pancakes in the morning were an added bonus. As were the tiny adorable kittens that roamed the premises. The staff was very friendly and nice and the location was perfect. Overall amazing place to stay!
