We stayed here the night before and after our wedding. Sara is terrific - the service was very warm and friendly. The hotel is beautiful - very charming. Rooms are small but well decorated and clean. Bathrooms are modern and well functioning. I would stay here again on our next visit to the area. The restaurant was not open for...

We found this to be a great location. We arrived the day before our wedding and had to do a lot of running around to do. It was a breeze and everything was close by. We had our ceremony in the museum next door and then went back to the Osteria del Vicario for the best meal we had in...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days for a family member's wedding, and had a wonderful time. To be fair, the rooms could be better - air con would be nice, and one or two of the rooms could do with a bathroom upgrade. However, they are charming and rustic, and do the job nicely. The courtyard is beautiful...

There are five rooms on the second floor. We and our wedding guests occupied four of them. Rooms 1 & 2 are small but have wardrobes. Room 3 is so small that there is not room for a wardrobe but it does have a ceiling fan and a painted mural on the wall. We stayed in room 4 which was...

I do believe it is a "must" for anyone who enjoys Tuscany in its most genuine chatacteristics. The tiny eleventh century town, home of Boccaccio, kept intact till today is just enchanting. Osteria del Vicario brought me right inside the atmosphere of Tuscan history and tradition. The rooms are just perfect: comfort coupled with ancient furniture and tapestry ; the...

We booked this hotel and restaurant following Michelin guide which awarded one star to the establishment. Overwelming sewage smell was the most distinctive trait. The food does not even deserve to be mentioned, we choose a "fiorentina" which was the safest option in a ludicrous menu' trying to mimick Ferran Andra'., only to discover that it was Angus beef! Coming...

We stayed at Osteria del Vicario for 3 nights and had our wedding reception for 37 guests there on one of these nights. The accomodation is full of old world Tuscan charm. We stayed in Room 4 and had a double bed, massive wardrobe, bathroom (though the shower was a bit temperamental) and a ceiling fan (not all the rooms...

Delightful setting and gourmet food served by lovely people. Menu is a little expensive but worth it. It is in the picturesque old quarter above the uninteresting town of Certaldo. On the downside it is difficult to approach by car because the road is blocked by a remote controlled pillar. Best to follow signs to Centro Historico and leave the...

We booked a meal for 22 people after our daughter's wedding (luckily not on the same day as it would have ruined the day). Having been recommended by the wedding planner - arrived to be overcome by smell of drains. We asked the waiters to move the tables and very reluctantly they moved them across the courtyard - it did...
