Amazing Chicken tikka sizzler. Beetroot wraps, dips and home made chips. Arrived on a very ‘hot’ stone that keep it cooking and hot. So full no room for dessert! Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful characteristic room. Very cosy and warm with a good menu.
The third time I have been here for a meal, the food is gorgeous every time, with very generous portions,I had the steak pie,and my friend had Chicken, the portions are very generous,so we couldn't manage a dessert!! Probably the best steak pie I've had!!
Had to stay for Daughters wedding won't stay again. Bridal suite was nice but no heating only January. Our room wasn't the cleanest marks on sheets. No soap in the bathroom we had our own. Bathroom door wouldn't close at all main room door a struggle to shut. Water pressure terrible poor dribble of a shower and a struggle to flush the loo. Noisy air con unit on roof outside the window so no sleep. Staff didn't care no refund no apology. I'll stick to the clean and functional Premier Inns in the future. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
This hotel caters for functions where ordinary hotel guests come second. The lounge bar was closed for a function so we had to sit at our table to have pre dinner drinks. The food menu and wine list were short on choices and we had to go to the bar to order anything we wanted. This made it no better than a village pub restaurant, not what we were expecting from a Best Western Signature Collection hotel. The hotel buildings, grounds and setting are very good but the service is not designed for ordinary hotel guests.
I had an excellent stay at this very friendly hotel. The online check in service was a bonus. I left my car at the hotel before I properly checked in as I had arrived early. This was no trouble for them. My room was big. The facilities in my room were excellent. I had a good night’s sleep and breakfast was fantastic quality and choice. Great customer service too.
Everything was perfect, nothing was too much for staff and rooms were great. Very easy access for breakfast and there was no restriction. The wedding team were out of this world, would 100% recommend to anyone!
Very nice Hotel good rooms good location.Bar service very poor.Rooms very very cold.No heating after 10 pm very very cold night.Tried to leave at around 11pm to find we had been locked in the hotel. We got out around 11 20pm ps food was very good. This is our second bad experience at thi hotel after spending over £11000 pound on our sons wedding in october and having a sleepless nighit due to no blinds on windows. This coulld be a very good hotel just requires managing better with a more sympathetic receptionist.
Excellent lunch. The food as always was very good and if there is a better place to visit in the area I will be amazed. Everything cooked in the kitchen from scratch. Very comfortable seating which is important. Would recommend a visit to this wonderful hotel.
I stayed 1 night as part of a wedding party. I was there from 8am but couldn’t check into my room until 3pm. My stuff was left in the brides room during the ceremony. I then found that my stuff had been moved by staff into the bridal suite. Other peoples things stuffed into my bag, a tooth brush belonging to someone else. I would’ve appreciated being notified to move my stuff rather than someone doing this for me. I had valuables in my bag that could’ve been lost. However the Wedding was lovely and well organised by staff.
A beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are lovely, warm, kept clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small and only had a shower. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a great restaurant attached that does a lovely filling breakfast and delicious meals. The only downside is that when you took the keycard out of the sockets all the plugs switched off.
