We stayed just one night, but wished we could have stayed more. The service from staff was warm, friendly and had a great sense of humour. The rooms were a nice mix of modern updated amenities and old world charm. The personal note on the bed from the person who cleaned the room was a delightfully unexpected touch. The staff... More

We were staying at the hotel with friends for a family wedding. We arrived Friday afternoon, and we're checked in by James, who was really friendly and helpful, immediately offering to book us a taxi to the wedding next morning. We had a very pleasant meal in the evening and the buffet breakfast was excellent. One of the biggest, tastiest... More

Spent Friday night at the Cow and Calf, arrived mid afternoon had a beer, booked in, our only problem was the fact that our room was on the second floor up 2 flights of stairs. We later had a nice meal with drinks for a reasonable price. Breakfast was also very pleasant with glorious views over the dale and Ilkley.

OMG what can I say about this place it was fantastic. The views and outside garden sitting areas were lovely. We stayed in a budget room which was very clean and tidy although it wasn't a room with a view you could look outside if you stood on a small step. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food was... We have just returned from 2 nights at this Inn and we had a great time. We had a basic double room which was warm, comfy and very clean. The en-suite was a good size and had everything you needed. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice and my husband had the full... More

Returned here with my Mum after a gap of 2 years. We reaslly need to come here more regularly. A beautiful location, and the rooms are comfortable. We thought we'd be cold as the bedroom wasn't very warm early evening, but it certainly was overnight and we slept well. The staff are friendly and look after you well. The food... More

Very nice accommodation, big welcome and nice food. This hotel was very good value for money and the lovely old building added charm and atmosphere. It was extremely cold weather while we were there but the room was cosy and the snow emphasised the beautiful surroundings

I have passed this pub many times and wanted to stay. I came on a short walking holiday and stayed here. It is a reasonable place to stay, but very average. Lovely pub and rooms and great for a nice walk. The rooms were spacious and continental breakfast was very nice without a cooked breakfast optional for additional fee. Would definitely stay again. The bar served and real ales and wine but a little pricy
