We had an overnight stay with our 3 children and the accommodation was ok, but I wouldn't stretch to better than that The best part is the stunning scenery from the room windows. The guest house is set in a lovely spot and the rooms are set out in a pretty courtyard. But unfortunately, so much more could be done...

Nice and convenient location for visiting this lovely part of Yorkshire. Not all rooms have a scenic view but the one we stayed in was very large which was a plus. If you are one of those people who like the small 'details' in a B&B which give it character and quaintness then this probably isn't for you; the shaving...

We stayed here recently for two nights whilst visiting family in the area. The guest house was easy to find and conveniently had a very nice pub next to it. The accommodation was warm clean and comfortable with a very nice wet room. The breakfast choice was limited but it was freshly made and piping hot. The owners were very...

Staying one night we had a nice stop here. The room was comfortable and quiet if a little basic. Breakfast was good with a good selection and efficient service. The staff were friendly. We would stay again.

My wife and I stayed for four nights visiting family and house hunting about three weeks ago. The new purpose-built accommodation block below the main guest-house building was on one floor with stunning views over the Wharf valley. The individual rooms were most spacious and exceptionally well appointed, including a powerful shower in a wet-room toilet/washroom. The proprietor Gerald and...

We stayed in the new building at the back which is pretty quiet (other than the noise of other guest's plumbing). No traffic noise fortunately. The view out of the window was lovely - peaceful rolling hills and horses. The furniture and decor were a bit tired although the building itself, and the bathroom, were very modern. Wi-fi, tea and...

The converted stables were just so lovely. The family room accommodated all our needs. It's set in a very picturesque location. Open the door onto fields and a lovely public walking path. We were happy that our dog was welcomed too and he loved the field runs! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, serving up a lovely breakfast in...

Good points - Great views, clean comfortable rooms, Reasonably priced, close to a really good pub. Not so good points - Very annoying green emergency lighting on permanently in the room,. Breakfast basic and limited. Please proper coffee and not instant. Hosts could be a little more approachable and customer friendly. Overall - Would stay again, Great place to stay...

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights this weekend for my wife and mother and 2 dogs as visiting in Leeds. Phoned up the following day to confirm that everything was OK to be asked by the owner if we could leave the dogs in the car overnight during our stay bearing in mind it's the end of January and...
