Excellent food, large portions, buckets of gravy or sauce - yummy. All piping hot and served with a smile. Good food available all day and tables always available. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and free flow through to the bar. Big advantage for our group is the disabled access is very good. Maitre de is excellent

Just had a late lunch in the Queens. Giant Yorkie filled with roast beef, mash and peas with gravy. Three good slices of roast beef, fluffy mash and marrowfat peas with lashings of gravy! I can highly recommend!! Accompanied by a lovely couple of pints! :-)

I have experienced Queens royal hospitality before when visiting for my fathers funeral. Such a lovely warm friendly environment with fantastic proper homemade food. There is clearly a lot of thought and consideration for customers needs and as an independently owned hotel and restaurant it shows. It does confuse me that people would choose the chain store approach offered over...

First off the service was great. Our waiters were attentive and the food came quickly so kudos to those guys. The place was let down by water marks and plaster flaking off the walls, torn seats and a tired menu (though decent meat portion at the carvery). Oddly enough the toilets were well kept. Parking is on street - there's...

The Sunday carvery is really good. Choice of several meats and all the potatoes and veg you want and the gravy is lovely proper gravy made with meat juices. The starters and sweets are also very good. Service is sometimes a little slow but the staff are pleasant.

twelve of us went for Sunday evening .I appreciate it was late on in the day but if they could not offer the service and quality of food that we expected they should not have taken our booking . The Beef was red and tasteless ,the pork was edible .Vegetables were of a reasonable standard. I had the prawn cocktail...

We stayed at the Queens Royal whilst on a golf tour in the Wirral with each course we played less than 30 minutes away. The rooms were comfortable, albeit some in need of modernisation when it comes to carpet some of the furniture. The breakfast was good, cooked nicely and plentiful. The carvery was good, healthy portions and very tasty....

A family of 12 went to the queens on new brighton front for a carvery and i must say it is the worst carvery we have ever had. The meat was very fatty except the turkey, the roast potatoes where the frozen ones deep fried awful. You could play football with the yorkshire puddings they were that solid. As for...

Just stayed at the Queens Royal for two nights as a surprise anniversary trip from my husband for us both. We had room number one which had a fantastic view of the seafront and was a very large room which was tastefully decorated and spotless, and because of the large window the room was very light, the room also had a very...

Wanted to order Bar Meal and watch the match, got there at 7.10 and was told they stopped serving food in the bar at 7pm. Went again last night at 6.35pm and tried once more to order food at the bar to be told they stopped serving food at 6.30pm Which is it. Need to make their minds up, needless...
