We found the staff excellent. Helpful, caring went out of their way to help us to enjoy our stay with our son who has profound multiple learning difficulties. The hotel was clean , bedrooms , dining room all to a good standard. Sunday carvery was excellent.

Arrived here on Friday afternoon for a Mother's Day Weekend Treat and we were checked in quickly and professionally by Daniel. We were allocated room 12 on the first floor as I have mobility issues and had contacted the hotel in advance to discuss this, however, there is a stair lift if required. The room was comfortable and had everything...

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night in order to be 15 minutes away from go ape. We were really happy with the room size, cleanliness and facilities. There was an iron and ironing board, a kettle, and tea/coffee/hot choc making supplies. There was also a hairdryer but i did not use this. We were pleasantly surprised by...

Stayed at the Gainsborough overnight for a business trip. On arrival the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was up on the top floor which had about 5 flight of stairs with 8-10 stairs on each flight, downside is there is no lift. Having said that the receptionist did arrange to have my luggage carried up to my...

As advised in previous reviews the hotel does not have a lift so it was a bit of a challenge carrying the suitcase to the top floor. No heating in the bathroom was very clean and fresh. There was a group staying at the hotel, shouting to each other in the early hours of the morning. Could hear the TV...

We were given a gift of two night in a hotel for Christmas and thought Kidderminster would be nice to visit. The Gainsborough House Hotel was the best part of the Kidderminster experience. The hotel was clean and bedrooms and bathroom adequate for our needs. The bar was lovely and the staff especially Dave welcoming although the menu a bit...

I recently purchased a Wowcher deal for a stay at this hotel. However, when I came to book I was advised I could only book for rooms one month ahead. I wanted to book for June or July which was within the terms of the voucher. I was advised by reception staff that this would mean I had to ring...

This hotel is in a good location for shopping in Dudley and the Black Country Museum. That's what we did. The staff were friendly, bar and restaurant good and the breakfast was spot on. If there was any negatives, a limited evening menu..but that would be being picky. Recommended.

Stayed here every year for the last decade with friends. The hotel has made improvements to the rooms in that time. Overall it has everything we require and indeed the staff generally do their best to make our stay enjoyable, the residents bar is always popular lol!
