Exceptional staff and very dog friendly. The room was as described and very comfortable. A nice touch was the dog bowls and treats. The staff could not do enough for us and our dog was as much a guest as we were. A pleasant surprise as this was our Airedale’s first trip away in a hotel. Breakfast was good and we also had a very nice dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night. Food was excellent quality but the menu may be a bit limited and safe for some. Burgers, Fish and Chips, Steak and a chicken dish didn’t show much imagination, although all dishes are very well prepared and presented. The vegetarian/vegan menu was a nice touch for those who are so inclined.
My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family on the 17th October. After the arrangements had been made with Abbie, to arrive & find everything set up as described was wonderful. The room looked beautiful & the three staff that attended us during our luncheon were 1st class (Alan, Marianne,&Erin) a big thank you to them. We have been coming to Stone Manor for 50 years as we had our wedding reception there. Today’s visit is as memorable as the first. Well done everyone @ the hotel, it doesn’t get any better.
Fantastic staff and hotel. Excellent service, great food, lovely grounds, room was extremely well appointed with comfortable bedding, underfloor heated bathroom, and gorgeous decor. Our dog was made very welcome, rare to find such a luxury hotel which is so accepting of dogs. Bowls and treats in the room and sausages for her breakfast. She was extremely spoiled, ...as we we. Thank-you.
Great grounds and garden. Especially with a dog. Really nice room and public areas. We started with a tea which was hugely disappointing. If you’ve seen the website pictures ignore them! 4 of us had 3 small plates all crammed onto a single cake stand. 3 finger sandwiches each, scones and a few other things. We’ve had lots of these teas and this did not compare well! And a tip for the venue - if you spread it out onto more than one cake stand it looks more even if it isn’t! Derrick was a star so thank you for that. Supper was very good but the service was awful. We were invisible for 90 minutes. When we finished our main course we chatted with dirty crockery for 30 minutes and then cleared our stuff to a neighbouring table where it stayed until after we left. We were given pudding menus but nobody came back for an order so we left. Breakfast was ok - but a full English is included in the bed and breakfast price but a pretty average cheese omelette is an extra £3.00 supplement. Bizarre! Anyway an ok stayed despite the mean tea, the restaurant service and the mean breakfast.…
Fantastic stay, really welcoming - our week at Hogarths Stone Manor felt like a home away from home. Room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated - perhaps only the mattress / mattress comforter needs improvement because the bed could have been less lumpy feeling. We enjoyed breakfast each morning. Best of all were the extensive and well kept grounds which the children enjoyed running around in and we enjoyed opening the curtains to each morning. A playground or playroom with children’s activities would be a nice addition. Ideally located for exploring the local area and close enough to Worcester and Birmingham. We have already booked to return at Christmas and are looking forward to experiencing a different side to Hogarths in winter.
My friend's wedding was originally booked for Stone Manor's sister hotel but, due to a flood, it was at Stone Manor instead. They did a good job on changing the venue last minute and it was very lucky we could be fitted in. The room set up was lovely and Covid restrictions were followed. The food was also well cooked and nicely presented. The outside area in particular was very nice for a wedding with decking and drinks outside. I did find it a bit odd though that evening food was bought out reasonably early, when we were all too full from the main meal, and then taken away not long after - could've done with some of the food later on in the night but it had gone then. Also, due to the issue with the flooding, there were not enough rooms at Stone Manor to accommodate us all. I appreciate this wasn't their fault, but we were told taxis would be organised, but it seemed to be completely left to the stressed groom to sort people out at the end of the night and staff didn't seem too fussed/hadn't pre-booked any taxis for us, so we were left waiting some time. Breakfast the next morning was back at Stone Manor though and it was very nice, in a lovely airy room and a filling breakfast was provided - just what we needed after a night of celebration.…
We stayed here for three consecutively nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We also dined here on two of the evenings. We cannot fault anything. The room was lovely (although a little small!). The facilities are excellent. The lounge areas are beautifully furnished, comfortable and extensive. The grounds are exquisite. The food was fantastic. And finally, we must mention the staff - really professional, friendly and helpful. We love the paradors in Spain - this hotel is the closest we have ever felt to that experience in the UK. Thank you.
A fabulous setting with beautiful gardens, contemporary rooms and wonderful staff. A great place for families, couples, business or pleasure. Excellent value for money. Definitely worth a visit. We have visited many times.
We visited as a party of four girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. We chose the Afternoon Tea in the Woods experience. What a delightful afternoon. Our table was set up under the shade of the trees in the impeccable grounds of this beautiful hotel. Endless amounts of tea and coffee accompanied a wonderful, freshly baked, 3 course Afternoon Tea. Delicious, warm savouries of Goats Cheese Quiche, a mouth watering pork and sage sausage roll and a gorgeous fondant potato bomb was a fabulous start to this meal and left us wondering how we had room for another 2 courses! Lovely sandwiches followed as a second course, followed by the ultimate desert offerings. Freshly baked scones straight from the oven and a selection of exquisite delights left us feeling more than satisfied and happy with our choice. The service provided made this whole experience all the more enjoyable. From our warm welcome from Derrick to the impeccable attention from Jack, who is a first class ambassador of the whole Hogarth’s team, we were thoroughly spoiled from start to finish. Thank You all at The Stone Manor. We will be back! (Once we’ve been on a diet for a couple of months!!!)…
Lovely hotel, if too expensive for what it is. Very pleasant ambience but food isn't as good as it should be for this class of hotel. However the main problem is the accessable room isn't thought out at all. it has the same extremely low toilet as the rest of the hotel. When i mentioned it the staff member stated that they had had complaints about the room, and partticularly the toilet before. If multiple people are complaining then the hotel shouldn't keep ignoring people who obviously know what they need in an accessible room.
