I booked this place in haste, for myself and two colleagues for an overnight business trip, and failed to check out the reviews first. What a mistake. I knew things were going to be bad when I drove into the car park. If you must stay here, please drive in carefully, as the potholes are canyon like. After checking in,...

Room was freezing cold and radiators not working. Spoke to reception who said heating was on a timer and would come on later at night. This didn't happen. Spoke to reception again who said all there mobile heaters were out so there was nothing they could do. No offer of room change, no apology, no offer of any compensation. Had...

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked. Stayed in another Brittania Hotel in December near Liverpool and it was great value for money. Thought this would be the same but it is like a half way house. I only stayed because it was late and I was far too tired to find somewhere else. Room smelled bad...

In dire need of nuclear war to improve the look and feel. Smells of smoke in the corridors, interior tired and dated, terrible customer service from the senior management who appear to be able to change the opening hours of the food service and then have the cheek to say you can't bring food in and are immediately combative and...

Just about as terrible as it gets - doors off hinges, corridors stinking of vomit, stained and heavily worn sheets, no plug in the bathroom sink - there really is nothing to recommend this place except for the price.
