I spent 1 night here , getting to the hotel and leaving to go to terminal 5 Heathrow is a hassle and concern . I waited over a hour and a half for a hotel hoppa bus at Heathrow to get to the ibis budget hotel. I had to get to terminal 5 early the next morning, the first hotel hoppa left at just after 4.30am from an hotel a short walk away it did not arrive until 05.20am , do not rely on hotel hoppa the timetable is a work of fiction. This service isn't cheap £11 return. The hotel is OK except there was a weird noise in the room and corridor, a surging gurgling sound of running water ; very disturbing. Check-in was OK, I didn't have anything to eat so I can't comment on the food. Probably won't stay here again due to difficulties getting from and too Heathrow.
We arrived early in the morning at the hotel from a flight from Thailand. Before we could check in we decided to get breakfast at the hotel. I went in and paid for breakfast for both of us. Then 5 minutes later I´m attacked by a hotel staff member and accused loud of stealing and not paying for breakfast. LOUD again and again she accuses me of stealing and causing a big sean. I calmly explain to her that I already paid but that only escalated her psychotic behavior. I ended up having to prove in detail that I paid which was possible when other hotel staff came. Being humiliated and exposed to her psychotic behavior caused we left the hotel. Ibis Hotel is no place for a disturbed young girl like her to be working.
Upon our recent stay to this hotel we were awoken in the night by a stranger stood in our room at 2am. I heard the door and sat up to see a man standing with a phone light at his feet. I was scared and span around to check my family were safe and when I reached to turn the light on, our unexpected and unwelcome guest has disappeared. I ran to the door, checked through the spy hole to find the corridor lights on but no guest. I immediately contacted rceepiton to check if an extra key card had been issued in error. Although we received an apology for the unprofessionalism, we did not get an explanation. To later find out it had happened to other guests on the same night, I was unsure if the whole security system was down or whether this was not such a coincidence. I was then informed that it was actually a member of the night reception team and alarm bells rang for me. Something just didn't sit right with me. If that was the case, surely when seeing me wake in fear, a sincere apology would have been given immediately, at the least, before exiting the room. The fact that we were unable to go back to sleep that night, have had disrupted sleep since this occurance and the hotel do not answer calls or emails regarding the matter is inexcusable. How many others did not wake up. upon a strange man entering their room and what would have happened if I had not heard the door. Not a secure or safe place!…
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was nice and warm, bedroom was nice, no issues. Good location for Heathrow. about 20 minutes walk to nearest tube station. Only 2 small lifts for the entire property, so the downstairs could be crowded at times waiting for an elevator.
The room stunk of cirgettes then cleaners had tried to cover it up by air fresher making it ten times worse . So if you had a respiratory condition be careful There was a dripping pipe which kept us awake Stay 6 hours that was enough. £12 to park Plus easy for the airport - but wouldn't stay there again
Hotel was busy but very clean. Rooms were huge with a massive space that could accommodate a dining table (not sure why?) Bed was not great, bit hard and it had a horrible creak to it when you reposition yourself. Breakfast was good, plenty of options for everyone.
For a “budget”hotel it’s fantastic. Staff attentive, rooms very clean and breakfast lovely especially the sausages! Don’t be put off by the “budget” part of this hotel it certainly doesn’t feel like anywhere near budget! If you want a clean room to put your head down after a nice day out whether it be rugby at Twickenham or a day out in London look no further than this hotel…
Where do I even begin! The toilet door was not closing due to broken latch. It would keep opening even though close the door. So by the time I entered the shower the door was wide open. Complained about this at the reception, manager came back with a spoon to use as a stopper! Which did not work. Then they gave me cardboard from an amazon delivery box to use as door stopper. They promised to move me to a different room the next day, but when I went to the reception the next day, I was told I was late to come back to the reception so they cant offer me another room. I managed to get a door stopper. The manager refused to compensate me or even move me to a different room. Second problem - I hurt my neck sleeping on the pillow they provided. They would not change the pillow, as they dont have a substitute one available. Manager told me that door not closing was not health and safety issue so they cant refund my money. But my neck pain was clearly health issue! Which she would not consider too. Third issue - Mixer tap in toilet was a joke, we either had piping hot water or freezing cold water. Staying in this hotel was nightmare, I can’t trust Ibis hotel anywhere ever again. I warn others to clearly avoid this hotel at any cost. There are better ones close by, use them.…
Terrible location, unhelpful staff, building is falling apart and barely any amenities. Every time I went to reception, people were complaining or demanding their money back. Building works are loud, there is no working temperature control in the rooms and the walls are paper thin. The room has no hairdryer and the kettle looked dangerous. There’s a number you can text for assistance, I did this and never got a reply. When I happily left the terrible hotel, I had a £400 charge on my account with no exploration. I called and was told I broke the TV, which I never used! I’m now having to take them to court because of their complete incompetence. I stay at a lot of hotels at Heathrow for work, this is by far the worse and I will never return.
The staff were very good, especially Abdul. The room is small but fine fora night for an early flight. The bed was okay, pillows goos and really nice bath products. The hotel is easy to get to by public transport to and from Heathrow Airport. We did have an issue with the shower with drainage which flooded the bathroom. It meant that the shower time was cut short.Hotel reception were informed but nobody came to sort it out. Abdul was helpful and we decided that we didn’t want maintenance to sort it out as we wanted an early night. We were offered a complimentary breakfast. The room was clean. Amin was helpful with public transport information. Good place to stay for early flights from Heathrow.
