Exec lounge : Sylvia and Mesley were so attentive , we could not have asked for more. Great service, lovely canapés and all the cheese you could ask for. I don’t have much more much to say, but it’s well worth paying slightly more for the exec lounge experience.

I booked in here for a night before an early flight from Terminal 5 at Heathrow. There is a £15 charge for parking if you are a hotel guest and I believe you can leave the car for longer, however I was booked into a meet and greet parking at the terminal on the morning I was leaving. Check in was quick and easy, I had booked on booking.com for about £100 for the night, which was quite competitive with other nearby hotels. My room was on the 3rd floor, I was asked if I wanted to pay to upgrade to a room overlooking the runway but I really cannot see the attraction of that. My room overlooked the Bath Road which runs adjacent to the north fence of Heathrow, and one of the things I noticed immediately was that the soundproofing and double glazing was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a large king size bed, a comfortable arm chair next to the bed as well as a desk/dressing table area. There was also a decent hot shower in the bathroom. The building is a bit dated and the furnishings in the room are slightly worn, but it was clean and everything worked. The hotel supplied a kettle, and tea and coffee. There was also a fridge where I put the empty bottles of water, if I had known it was there I might have brought a salad for dinner rather than having to order expensive room service. The breakfast starts at 6 and is a buffet, offering a good range of breakfast foods including hot options and waffles. In conclusion this is a decent hotel if you are looking to stay near Heathrow Terminal 5. I believe there is a shuttle that you have to pay for in order to get to the airport. But I had my car. All in all this was a convenient and pleasant hotel to stay in.

I like coming back to the Renaissance, Heathrow. It’s location makes trips to the airport terminals easy. The rooms are of a very good standard, providing the customer with all they need. I particularly like being able to connect my laptop to the TV so I can watch my favourite tv programs or films. I always use the bar area to have my meal, and the food is always good. The hotel has a good ambiance, and I always feel at home here. The service is always very good right across the hotel. Whether it’s Reception, Concierge, room cleaners, lounge staff or restaurant staff. This brings me on to my final point which is the staff employed at this hotel. The staff is always the biggest asset in any organisation, and this is true for the Renaissance; they are amazing. Courteous, kind, attentive and always ready to help. A big ‘thank you’ to them all, including Teo, Francisco, Reena, Aparna, Johanna and all the others who made my stay so enjoyable and comfortable.

Third time here and it was still excellent. This hotel was linked with parking through Holiday Extras. Great price and great deal. Hotel was very quiet and the car park half full……thank you COVID!!! Our room was quiet and well equipped. This hotel remains our favourite place to stay, park and fly.

We should like to acknowledge the warm welcome we were given by Akhil and Roselyn at check in. After a journey that could have been tiring or stressful receiving such a welcome means a lot. Our room was lovely but the bathroom essentials were in the sink and the toilet was blocked. Friendly apologetic staff speedily relocated us to an upgraded room where we enjoyed a comfortable relaxing stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful the next morning at checkout.
