I arrived at 2.00 and was pleased to be able to check in early. All front desk staff were very enthusiastic. The room was spacious and clean but very hot with that stupid health and safety rule about not being able to open the window….even 2 inches. Following the instructions on how to activate the A/c failed. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty. Coffee was particularly good. Huge car park by the stadium was a short walk away. Offer valet parking?

The room was clean, (minus the shower) the staff were polite albeit flappy/ unsure & obviously the location was great. However would never say this was a 4* hotel. The ‘bar’ stank like faint sewage, the bar staff didn’t know what the cocktails on their menu were and said they couldn’t make any & the air con in the bedroom wouldn’t work so the room was boiling as there are no windows. If you’re after a ‘nice’ hotel this isn’t it, but if you’re after a clean Holiday Inn style hotel this matches perfectly.

Dear nataliehJ8014JZ, Thank you for your feedback. It helps us improving every day. I am sorry to hear about the issues that you had. Please be assured that I have shared your comments to our Food and Beverage Management team to make sure that the staff is fully trained and knowledgeable of the cocktails that we serve. Regarding the AC in the bedroom, we checked the bedroom once you reported it and everything in the system was correct. The reason why it was not working for you is because the button to turn it on was not pressed correctly. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Regarding the housekeeping/cleanliness issues, our Housekeeping team will review their procedures to make sure that this is an isolated case and will not happen again. We hope to serve you better in the future. Regards,

I don’t really write reviews a lot, but couldn’t leave the hotel without one. My daughter is a big rugby fan and the hotel is located in twickengam stadium (great location, heart of rugby!). This stay was her birthday present, when we asked if it would be possible to upgrade to pitch view suite, we were told that those rooms are out of service (think because of a match day or something). We couldn’t manage to get an upgrade, but still enjoyed lovely breakfast and great stay. The reason why i am writing this review is because of what happened at the checkout. Loveliest lady ever think her name was Lana or Lara spoke to my girl and found out it was Chloe’s 12th birthday and she was a rugby fan. In 5 minutes, lady offered to take my daughter to a suite room even though we weren’t hoping anymore to see a pitch and take some photos. What a meaningful sign! We were traveling back to Edinburg, and got some water in the way. Lana/Lara (sorry if i spelt the name wrong), Chloe is still talking about you and says hi! Thank you Marriott. Your considerate staff just gained you a return customer

Just returning from a fabulous weekend watching England play Tonga. We had a family room that had two double beds which were comfy and room was a good size. Didn’t expect a view for the price we paid. Reception - very friendly & efficient. Let’s talk parking though…website says chargeable parking for match days which is fine but this has to be booked way in advance! There is no priority for hotel stays and we would have to move the car before 11am match day. Fortunately amazing Ranjit came to the rescue & very helpfully managed to book us a space (they had only just been released) thank you Ranjit for going above and beyond and helping us the next morning! Fabulous location for the rugby!
